Absolutely love this spot!!! Hubby and toddler son came with me last night to try this place out, we got here around 6:30pm on a Tuesday night.
I’ve been dying to have an Asian buffet nearby, and Hibachi answered my prayers!! This location is conveniently located across the Solano mall, and near Trader Joe’s. So basically you can play at D&B, grocery shop, then go eat buffet (lol). It’s the best! Owner is a very kind man! He even gave us a 10% off coupon to come back. Staff is great, friendly, and always cleaning tables and refilling condiments! Place is very clean and maintained. They have a baby changing station in the bathroom too, Brownie points for the Mamas!
Now for the food, bomb bomb bomb! The meats tasted so freesssshhh! And they have a hibachi grill, where they cook both fresh noodles and fresh rice for you. My toddler son devoured his plate! In the buffet aisles, they have a mix of American, Chinese, and Japanese foods. I loved the seafood aisle! I hate bunch of clams, mussels, crab. And the Cajun seafood broil is hella good. If Boiling Crab is too far of a drive, just come here! And the Chinese food was lit! It tasted like from a chinese restaurant. So whenever we want Chinese, we can just come here too hehe. The sushi was good too, tasted fresh!! They also have desserts, fruit, and ice cream.
I’m planning to come back again with my parents , and again with my siblings. We found out buffet spot! And with this price point,...
Read moreIt is all you can eat... This location used to be a Hometown Buffet. In the conversion they spruced up the interior (it needed it) and converted some of the prior eating space to more widely spaced buffet warmers/coolers. The entrée offerings were mostly pretty good with nice flaky white fish, fried calamari rings and several hot Asian meat & seafood dishes. The soups were just okay; The hot & sour tasted a bit fishy and the miso wasn't overly salty but also didn't taste particularly fresh. The salads, desserts and American buffet items were pretty standard buffet fare in nature as well as quality (C rate on flavor, appearance and consistency). The sushi was about 'grocery store minus' on average. I didn't have any of the hibachi fare. Staff was attentive and kept the table cleared when we got up for more sampling. The "clean" plates in the stacks weren't terribly clean - I had to pass up several to find one without dried food stuck to it. I was really hoping for better as we're lacking good buffets post-Covid. Probably...
Read moreEdit: Definitely got food poisoning. I have been getting rid of that food from my body for the last 12-15 hours. I feel like death. We should've gotten our money back. At least there was a veterans discount.
1st time here with the boyfriend. We were excited for a new buffet in town. The food looked beautiful, but was barely even lukewarm. The hibachi was disgusting. I couldn't even eat it. I specifically told the guy behind the grill that I was allergic to mushrooms and asked if he would use the opposite end of the grill for me, as the 3 ppl in front of me all used mushrooms. He said yes. When I got my food, there was a giant mushroom sitting right on top. So that's one plate of food totally wasted. There is 6 hot food buffets, sushi, and the hibachi. The only saving this from a zero star review was the really nice girl who took our money, the cleanliness and the coconut shrimp. If I get food poisoning from not eating the right temp food, I'll modify this review. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else and save yourself...
