Lee's — Restaurant in Fairfield

If you've ever heard the theory that the best Chinese food you'll ever have will never have a 5 star rating, this is the place you're looking for. Best as a takeout restaurant, no the customer service isn't traditionally American where they're overly happy to see you. That's because they're not American, and when you're ordering Chinese food, you don't WANT them to be American (unless you want bad Chinese food.) Portions are great, prices are great, food is flavorful and fresh. . Bourbon chicken was great, general tso's chicken was great, spicy chicken is great (they do mean it when they say spicy.) Crab Rangoon were cold by the time we got that far in but I'm sure they're a lot better fresh, not bad even when cold. I'm a HUGE egg roll person and I didn't like their egg rolls at all. They're all cabbage on the inside, too much cabbage to the point they're a bit mushy, but some people do like that. Fried rice is also pretty bland, but I've always been one to mix it with the sauce anyways and the fact that they gave so much sauce made it work out really well. 10/10, will come...

I don't recommend Lee's because of an order gone wrong. Which of course happens all the time, but good business's value repeat customers- but not Lee's. Somehow my order of Spring Rolls became Ribs. I thought the price seemed higher, but instead of double checking I drove home. When I called to let them know about their mistake, I let them know I was on the way back over. BUT when I walked in, they didn't speak to me, did not greet me, and stared at me like they were disgusted. Needless to say no apology, and then instead of refunding me for the ribs, charged my debit card again for the spring rolls. We use to come in once or twice a week for carryout, but we will not be back. They were rude on the phone, rude when we came in, and clearly could careless if we return. I tried this place for the first time about 10 months ago and wrote a review, making some suggestions after my first experience. Since then, I have ordered out at least 15 times, almost always for one of the lunch specials.

The food is okay, but I would gladly switch to another nearby restaurant because I'm convinced that these folks do not give a hoot about their customers. I don't have any reason to believe that the restaurant is dirty, but it LOOKS like a dump when you walk in. Also, the staff is TOTALLY indifferent to customers, they don't act as if they appreciate your business in even the least amount.... and it's clear they do not read their reviews.

Life is too short to spend your money with people who do not value your business. I'm going to do my best to find another place to enjoy Chinese carryout.... a restaurant like the Sun Garden in West Chester, but...
