I visited Little Goose for lunch today, with two friends. It was my suggestion to give it a try, being a central location for each of us and I’ve heard good things from others about this restaurant. I’m not one to venture out to places outside of my regular spots, but I read the google reviews and thought we should give it a try. We definitely did NOT receive the service others have, per google reviews. Long story short, the waitress (bartender?) was unwelcoming and we had to flag her down every time we wanted something. We aren’t needy customers, and all we needed to do was place our initial order and then get a second cocktail at one point, but each time seemed like we were a thorn in her side to be serviced. For more than half of our stay we were the only customers in the bar area, so it’s not like they were busy. Both our waitress and another woman (owner?) seemed to chat it up with the other table and bar patrons that came during our stay, but we got a “what do you want?” from our waitress, after flagging her down multiple times. The young man refilling our waters and wrapping our leftovers was the only one on top of things, and he received a cash tip from one of my friends but our waitress did not receive a tip from us at all. I’ve never NOT tipped a server before, but leaving a tip today would’ve been a poor choice on our part. The service was a joke. I’ve felt more appreciated as a customer at McDonalds before, literally. As for the food, it was okay. Nothing to write home about. Needless to say the service is what will keep me and my friends from returning. Do better...
Read moreJust used my Gift Card to The Little Goose! Let me tell you it was an awesome experience! I wasn't too thrilled about going, the menu items didn't excite me, the place looked pretty sterile in the pics. But as I watched the plates come out for other tables, I began to get excited and impressed. The presentation was 5 star, the portions were impressive, nothing could be heard but great comments about flavor and uniqueness. I began to get really excited waiting for my Seafood Chowder and Asian Potstickers. First came the chowder... STELLAR!!! Incredibly flavorful and unique. Smooth, creamy, rich, bisque, loaded with perfectly cooked shrimp, bay scallops, clams, and I think a mushroom or two, sock shaking! Then came the dumplings...uhh... steamed.... not what I was thinking. So I asked the waitress if they could saute or fry them for me, she happily obliged, and they came out golden brown and crisp. I dipped in the sauce and forget it!! An unbelievable experience from beginning to end. And they had a busker that was terrific!! Great experience. Great service. Our waitress was the best ever. Been a long time since we had a service person treat us like they owned the place, and they were truly grateful that we chose to eat at her establishment! Nine Stars! Do yourself a favor and give it a try. Have an expectation to be wowed and surprised, they...
Read moreEnjoyed a good meal at this establishment. The staff was quick and friendly. To start off our meal we had a half dozen of oysters which were delicious. For our entrees I had the seafood lasagna and my girlfriend had the grilled octopus. The grilled octopus had an amazing taste, what great flavors they infused into the octopus. My girlfriend was absolutely pleased with her meal. I am usually not the type to try different or strange offerings at a restaurant, I usually go for something safe and expected because I hate to order something where I don't know what I will get. I was totally intrigued by this item in the menu. Decided to give it a shot and I am so glad I did. The seafood lasagna was essentially pasta with different types of seafood as the filling of the lasagna. It was sooooo good. It was stuffed with shrimp, calamari, crab and other things which made it good. It also had a sauce which seemed to me more like lobster bisque, not sure if it was but all I know is that it was delicious. The waiter warned me about this meal being very hearty and I can confirm it, I was only able to eat half my dish but the rest was taken home for lunch tomorrow. Definitely enjoyed my meal and I...
