TLDR: Hotel manager Parveen is rude and discriminates against covid recoverers After my mom was discharged from the hospital, she went to this hotel because she wanted a quiet place to rest. A couple days into her stay, the hotel staff found out she had previously had covid. They asked the Fairfield Health Department to confirm she was no longer contagious—which the department promptly did over call. Parveen, the hotel manager, then proceeded to request a written document from the department stating my mom was not contagious. The department gave them a document stating she is “released from isolation and can resume work and normal activities.” Still unsatisfied, the manager demanded my mom take a rapid test. The hotel did not give my mom enough time to get a test from her doctor. A rapid test is not necessary in these cases anyway, since it is known people are not contagious after two weeks with no fever. On very short notice, Parveen told her she needed to leave by 3:30. My mom did not want to stay anymore and complied and began packing and making arrangements immediately. Despite my mom’s cooperation, Parveen went back on her word and called the police before 3:00. She even lied to the police and said my mom kept her door open and went out. This is false: my mom stayed in her room the whole time. She didn’t even order room service. When we asked Parveen to show us video evidence that my mom had left her room, she went silent. My mom fully cooperated with all of Parveen’s requests. When Parveen told her to leave, she did not want to stay at a place where she was unwelcome and was preparing to go. Calling the police before the agreed upon time and lying to them about my mom is beyond rude and absolutely unacceptable.

Could I five it half a star? There's only two things I'm really looking for in a hotel: clean bed with no bed bug and a functioning shower with warm water. So they have a big room? Nope, about the size of a coat closet. Do they have the best view? Nope, love staring at the a fence that fails to.cover up what they wanted. Was it quiet? Let's say I'm 99% confident the wall is made from paper. However, none of that really matters that much. I don't need a huge room or anything like that. I just needed a bed and shower. We got in around midnight after a full day of driving, so we went straight to bed. In the morning, we found stains on the bed sheet. Worst of all, the shower has about zero pressure. I attached a pic with the water turned all the way up. Conclusion; save yourself the $200 we paid and look elsewhere. It's just not worth it.

Stayed in this hotel for one night, and it was a fine experience. The reasons for the 4 stars: me and my friend stayed in one room together, and the beds were *very* close together. Not a lot of space to move around. I forgot to take a picture until we left, so it isn't the most helpful. There wasn't someone at the desk to help for a portion of the time that we were in the lobby, but I guess it's a small place, so not a lot of employees. The location was interesting because we had a hard time finding the front of the hotel, as we drove in from behind. Overall fine experience.

Was told my friend could confirm via email which we were told when staying another time too a year ago, only to have another staff member (not wearing a name tag) tell me they'd never say that. I told her I should have video taped it. (This was after she had told me that another policy I repeated was not a policy. In other words she was calling me a liar. I'm stumped. Found the reservation my friend made wasn't booked. Asked them to book for two nights. They did. They booked for Monday and Wednesday night. Why? I'm clueless. So the no name tag girl, a heavy set women with long braids and fake eyelashes told me I had to check out of my room and couldn't go back in until my friend showed up a second time to sign me in with his credit card. Now if it was Wednesday night it wouldn't have been a problem I was told. So it's Tuesday and I'm sitting in front of a drafty door in the lobby for about 3 hours waiting to get into a room again. I have never in my life experienced this and don't know anyone who has. The woman behind the desk told me I had an attitude and she told me the things I said - that the staff would NEVER say those things. Like the email credit card confirmation. I have the Best Western's CEO David Kong's email and telephone number. But honestly the manager didn't care and other staff stayed hush. Will it change after my complaint? What is going on in here? It doesn't matter how other things are at the hotel, if they mess up 3 times on your reservation and now you're stuck in the lobby for 3+ hours in front of a cold draft in 21 degree weather and the staff yells at you because she wants you to shut up so she doesn't have to listen to your points, why would any of the Best Western experience change? It seems from the top down, it's an "I don't care" attitude.

I left a voicemail for CEO David Kong and email for D. Dickinson of WMW Hospitality (listed as the managing company), but I have to say if my friend mentions coming here again, I'm going to need a massage afterwards because I'll be concerned that history at Best Western will repeat itself.

And I dealt with a phone that doesn't work, a noisy radiator all night and a clogged toilet. When the manager showed to unclog my toilet, I mentioned I'd heard the front desk talking about another overflowed toilet. She told me that it was because she felt the guest put things in the toilet he shouldn't have. I'd have to say they have a plumbing problem, if multiple toilets are backing up. However the multiple reservation issues and the way the heavyset morning staff person kept treated me got me to give this review. Very unprofessional treatment by the front desk person and manager who ignored the problem completely. After sitting for hours in the lobby, I left and told my Best Western membership friend that I felt uncomfortable staying in a place that treats guests badly. There are plenty of...

Horrible. First of all... greedy owners allow Semi Trucks to park behind the building, I assume they place their building parking lot into some rental websites for Semi Truck parking, these huge trucks - they make noise, sometimes they unload cars to make noise, sometimes they park weirdly infront of your room's AC while causing a concern of idling & CO2 blast into your room. On top of all this insanity, staff drills holes in walls, slams doors from the closets that are next door to rooms. All this drilling noise and door slamming starts at around 9am or 10am. Check out is at 11am, and if drilling and door slamming didn't wake you up.... then noisy cleaning lady will come and knock on your door at 10:35am to wake u up. Unfortunately, me forgetting to hang "privacy please sign" has resulted in telling her 3 times "no thank you, cleaning is not needed" she still knocked 4th time again after 30 minutes which woke me up again... haha. Rooms don't have freezer, and small refrigerator is locked with Flat-head screw pin on the coldest temperature of level 6, therefore all items can freeze in your fridge unless you have a flathead to adjust this horrible plastic pin to lower level of refrigeration. In my room... phone button that is for front-desk dial didn't work and always showed busy sound, I spoke to front desk people about this, and they seem to know about this common issue of phone system not reaching to the front desk. It seems to be a small family operated business by Indian family, they are ok.... they are not rude but they are also not friendly. Gym closes at 10pm which I think is too early to close gym. Beds are comfortable and AC/heat is good. Rooms are very clean. But sleep is more important and safety from vehicles sending CO2 directly into the AC was my concern. I think vehicles should not be allowed so close...
