Manhattan Bagel — Restaurant in Fairfield

I am basing my review on my last visit; I have to say that I am not the type of person that does reviews even if the experience is good or bad; but I have to share about my horrible experience on the last time that I was there (I have to said that I had visited this store a few times and the experience was good); I had found in Local flavor a discount coupon that for the purchase of 10 dollars you get 20 dollars’ worth of food. I work in a place that we all get together and buy this certificate and use it. On our last visit which was on June 3 of 2020 I had order over the phone to pick up. When I arrived to the store I told him that I want to make sure the order was right (since the last other was missing some stuff and I had to drive back to pick it up) and asked If every item was marked (since I do not feel comfortable opening every item to see what it is); someone on the counter (which I had seen before when I ordered a week before and the order on June 3) made a comment like "wow so we did not do anything right on your last order" using a sarcastic tone which I ignored. Then he said "well all that for FREE FOOD" I was really furious since he was insulting me making me feel that the store was giving us free food and I should not ask for a "good services." I replied to him "well It is Discounted Food No FREE FOOD". I want to said if the reason that we used a is a chance to humiliated a customer, then they should not offer this discounted certificate. I work in a place that I have to handle customers and know the importance of a kind and respectful service. I took a doggie bagel off the counter and ordered a cup of coffee and a toasted bagel with cream cheese. The girl at the counter was more concerned about me needing a bag for the doggie bagel and giving me a stupid coupon for free iced tea Tuesdays that doesn't start for a month than making sure I got my bagel, which was all they had to do since the coffee is self served. I stood there for 10 minutes with the staff looking at me looking confused. I knew they had forgotten my bagel so after telling 2 people I had ordered already I told the 3rd that I hadn't gotten my bagel, so he quickly turned around and slapped cream cheese on one of their weird, flat bagels. I made sure to note how much I was about to enjoy this cold flavorless bagel -_- I didn't even eat 2 bites of it before I gave it up to the dogs. WOW, what a great place this is. The Spinach Bacon Croissant has become my weekly addiction. I love the way they make this sandwich. It's on a fresh croissant, with spinach, scrambled eggs, swiss cheese and a zesty tomato sauce. And if that's not enough it's topped off with Lots of Bacon. It's just delicious. The atmosphere in this place keeps me coming back. The staff members are warm and friendly. They go above and beyond to make me feel welcome and appreciated. When I'm in a hurry, I order through the app and my food is ready when I get there. What's not to love about that!
