Sushi Laco — Restaurant in Fairfield

Oh my WOW. This place is delicious. I have a favorite place that I really enjoy but I've been looking to see if another place can top it in the last 6 years with no success until last night. I tried about 4 or 5 rolls and they were good but the two that stood out was the Burning Sensation and the Spicy salmon tempura. The flavors were just wow on my palette. I ended up repeating those 2 rolls. They were both juicy and upon repeating them, I realized the flavors complemented each other. I would order them together. What is interesting about the Burning Sensation is the way that it is served that gives it that smoked touch. It comes in a plate that has a little oil and the roll is covered in aluminum foil. The waitress lit the oil on fire and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Afterwards, when the flames stopped, she came and opened the aluminum foil. The flavors that it gives from the sauce and the hint of smoked is such a great combination. It also has a hint of spicy but not overbearing. I would recommend this place hands down. I stumbled across this place for lunch today and couldn't wait to try it. I called in my order with a really nice lady. I ordered the vegetable udon and vegetable gyoza. When I arrived I parked in the plaza parking lot. I walked in, to what looked like family eating together. One of the men got up from the table and greeted me and I told him I was there for pick up. He grabbed my food and he was so nice. I paid a little over $18 for everything and left out. When I was ready to dig in, this is the first time I seen broth served with udon. Was in the area and decided to have date night at Sushi Laco. Long story short, it was a great experience with great food 🍴🍣🔥💥.

The sushi chefs are on point and their fish is great quality. The choices of rolls are plentiful and ordered some really delicious combinations I haven't had before. The waitresses and who I assumed the owner is were attentive and very polite to one another and us. At one point, the waitress apologized that they're delayed a little on the sushi front. The rolls came out faster than I would have expected if she hadn't said that. 😂
