Panda House — Restaurant in Fairfield

Not a Happy Camper. Go every week and order the Zucchini with either chicken or Shrimp. When I went to pick it I paid and waited about 10 minutes so the gentleman can talk on the phone. When he was done, I watch him put my lunch, that was sitting there the whole time, into the bac with the soup and give it to me. So I waited for him to finish a phone call as my food got cold. Then when I got back to work, I open and if I received 5 pieces of chicken, that was a lot. Not what I am used to for this establishment. They usually have a woman and her kids (who seem to like to help her) at the front and maybe cause she was not there they were short handed but not happy for paying a good price and not getting the quality you should. I wish I could give zero stars. Before even trying the food, I was annoyed that someone from New Panda littered my apartment building with menus, leaving them under everyone’s doors and all over the lobby. The person delivering the menus was incredibly rude when I tried to mention it.

I decided to try the food anyway, and it was a disaster. Everything tasted old, greasy, and poorly prepared. The chicken was rubbery, the rice was dry, and the sauces were watered down with no flavor. On top of that, the service was unfriendly and rushed, as if they couldn’t be bothered with customers. YUMMM!! I called for delivery 1/2hr before closing. They were very kind on the phone and at delivery, even though it was at closing. The food arrived hot and VERY DELICIOUS!! The only downfalls were that the General Tso's were a bit soggy but that was from the steam in the container. I understand that. The other downfall was that I wish I ordered more!! The General Tso's, egg rolls, pork fried rice ( it had plenty of veggies for fried rice) and cheese wonton were all very tasty. THANK YOU for the great food and service!!
