This place has gone down hill. I've been coming here since I was a kid, my cousin used to work here. I always used to crave a burrito and some nachos queso fundido. The last visit I made was horrible. First of all, the employees all look miserable, not a smile in sight, not even when ordering. Upon placing my order, I inquired about a sauce on the menu item and the cashier looked at me like I was stupid "what, what?" So I said nevermind. I order me and my company a burrito each and some nachos queso fundido. I get my food and I immediately notice the fundido for my nachos is missing, so I ask them to fix it. At this point they look extremely annoyed and they say that I ordered the regular nachos, I know I didn't, my party knows I didn't, but whatever. They bring me some nachos that look exactly the same as what I gave them back, no fundido, and it was cold to the touch. There was cheddar cheese on the nachos that wasn't even melted. My burritos we're lukewarm and they tasted off. I took a couple bites of nachos, finished my burrito because I was starving, threw the nachos out and left angry and dissatisfied. I've been coming here for years, but it seems as if this restaurant has probably taken a backseat to the restaurant in Westport. I will no longer be a customer to this establishment, I hear there's a really good place in Shelton called Panchero's and I'm going to give them a try! On a side note, not a single employee was in proper uniform which obviously shows these guys are running amuck of this place with it's...
Read moreI love the food here, BUT lately the staff seem to be very limiting. I went about an hour ago and ordered two items totaling over $20; my order number got called and I began to ask for the side cups of toppings and sauces that used to be self serve before covid and I was informed that they only give out two PER ORDER! To the employees credit, only after some back and forth and a disgruntled gasp from her, she did give me the 5 cups I asked for. Is that too much? I don't think it is as the cups are very small in proportion to the food I ordered.. I got 2 fresh jalepeno cups, 1 pickled jalepeno cup, a pickled carrot cup and 1 cup of verde. If I had to guess I'd say that costs you guys about 10-25 cents for those, if that and I'm almost certain that the cost of the salsa bar is factored into the price of the food anyways if this business works like most businesses do. The biggest draw of this place for me is the salsa bar and being able to put all types of toppings on your food; if your new policy is two cups per order, not even per item, but per order then I will be significantly less inclined to come here. Hopefully the salsa bar returns to self serve soon (I hope you don't make this a permanent decision to have it served by the staff) and in the meantime maybe you will reconsider this overreaction...
Read moreI would be giving you 0 stars if that was an option which is super unfortunate to be writing this as my boyfriend and I were long time customers of this place. Long story short we went for some lunch today and got the usual menu items (steak and chicken quesadilla and 2 chicken tacos), went home and noticed that the quesadilla looked off but kind of just shrugged it off as there being more steak in there than usual. Within LESS than an hour of my boyfriend eating his quesadilla he was violently throwing up on the side of the road, literally for like 5 minutes straight. I did try to call and inform the employees that they were clearing serving meat that was bad and was simply looking for a refund to which they told me the owner would get back to us in an hour to speak. 2 and a half hours later we call ourselves looking for the owner to refund us to which he “uhs” us a thousand times (like we were lying) and refuses a refund when we tell him we are reporting them to the health department. I will be letting all of my friends/family (also loyal customers) know to never come back here not for the food poisoning but the TERRIBLE customer service displayed...
