The cold crisp air whistled around me as I rode my motorcycle from the Sierras towards the San Fransisco Bay area, chilling my fingers and deadening my senses with the headlong rush. Mile after mile rolled by under my tires, the rear of which was going flat. I stopped to get gas and noticed the problem. After short careful inspection, I discovered that a nail or similar object had been thrust into the center of the tread, and had been ripped out, leaving a hole. It was 5:00 in the morning, hours until the nearby motorcycle store opened. I was cold. Consulting my communicator, I discovered that a mere 0.3 miles away stood a coffee shop. A warm glow and heavenly smells greeted me as I rounded the corner and approached down the side walk. Coffee and sweet rolls, a warm interior and relaxing environment. I ordered a large coffee, black with cream, exchanging a few words with the motherly barista, and commenting on the state of my tire, so as to explain my presence in a full one piece cold weather motorcycle suit. She was understanding and sympathetic, and commented about how her husbad used to ride. I received my cup of delicious coffee and sank onto a comfortable and tasteful couch, and pulled out my laptop computer, determined to work until the tire shop opened and I could get my tire repaired or replaced. During my hours of waiting, I observed the numerous customers of the coffee joint, and the pleasant service offerred by the employees. Numerous civil servants also entered and purchased coffee, and were greeted with the same warmth as other customers, despite recent news items about uneducated and unpatriotic citizens complaning about their feelings which caused service to be refused to the men in blue who serve and protect. Several hours into my wait (motorcycle shops open late) the barista sat down next to my table during her break, and once again reiterated her personal concern about my motorcycle's condition, and reiterated her previous generous offer of aid.
All in all, the experience was very pleasant, and I would highly recommend this location and offer commendation of...
Read moreDear Starbucks Customer Service,
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the customer service I recently received at your 1200 Oliver Rd Fairfield, CA store. On 10/21/24 I visited the store expecting the high standard of service Starbucks is known for, but unfortunately, my experience was far below expectations.
From the moment I arrived, the staff seemed disorganized. I waited an unusually long time to place my order, despite there being no significant crowd. When I finally did, the barista Kari was rude, impatient, and did not seem to care about my concerns or preferences. My order was prepared incorrectly, I was overcharged and wasn’t given a receipt and when I politely requested a correction, the response I received was dismissive and unprofessional.
This entire experience left me feeling frustrated and disappointed, as I regularly enjoy Starbucks and expect a certain level of quality and service. I am hopeful that this situation can be addressed, as this incident does not reflect the typical customer experience I’ve come to appreciate from your brand.

Read moreNote: Reviewing Starbucks can be iffy because quality changes as quickly as their staff. As of 10/2018, I will review all Starbucks in my area. Always check recent reviews. This Starbucks is like playing Russian Roulette. Sometimes you'll get a very good drink and sometimes it's outright bad. Is their machine calibrated wrong? Sometimes I watch the espresso drip twice, they pour the milk, and I end up with a milky white colored 5 shot espresso drink. Serious? However, when they do make the coffee right this is the best Starbucks in town. If you're not ordering espresso, the coffee and teas are great. The staff are also hit or miss. Some staff are very friendly. Most of the time, the staff are among the unfriendliest in the area. They always shove your drink at you and walk away. If you get a bad drink, they always have attitude. Do they not want to be there? Why are they there, then? Definitely not like the cool, suave baristas in the past. Risky. I'd rather drive to Cordelia for the...
