The experience was truly horrible.
The strawberry lemonade we ordered for several people was too tart so we asked for grenadine to try and sweeten it. After getting a tablespoon of liquid, we asked for a serving for each beverage (usually comes in a shot glass), but the server claimed they didn’t have any more grenadine (and didn’t have shot glasses).
When we got ready to order, my daughter tried to get breakfast tacos but was told they ran out of taco shells. She then ordered an omelet with mushrooms, as did my husband.
About 25 minutes later, the server returned to say they were “out of mushrooms”. We asked for the manager because at this point we expected the food would actually be coming out and worried about the status of the other five meals. I wanted to ensure they weren’t getting cold while we sorted out this issue.
The manager then appears and admits that they actually don’t carry mushrooms at all so we should been advised of this when the order was initially placed. When we told her about all the above issues, she said she would check into whether there was more cherry juice (since they didn’t actually carry grenadine in the first place). She also said she had just went and picked up taco shells so my daughter could now order the breakfast tacos. I asked her to please send out meals that were finished so they didn’t get cold.
She miraculously returned with the cherry juice we had been served a tablespoon of before (in place of the grenadine) even though we had been told there was no more available.
But when the food started coming out the issues quadrupled.
My husband’s omelet was served with cold hash browns. My mother’s chicken and waffles were served with cold waffles. My son’s breakfast burger was missing the avocado and they forgot his french fries. My chicken parmesan and my son’s rasta pasta didn’t have enough sauce. I could hear his friend down there complaining that the chicken on her sandwich had a sauce that was too sweet. It was a complete disaster.
When the corrections were requested, everything came out in pieces so my husband had to eat the hash browns after he finished his omelet, my mom had to eat her chicken (that she discovered was soggy on the bottom) while she waited an enormous period of time for waffles to be remade and so forth.
My daughter finally got the breakfast tacos and asked for hot sauce, which she never received. When they finally brought back my mom’s waffles, it was no longer presented with any fresh berries as it originally was served.
Just a very disjointed and unpleasant experience and what’s worse the manager was not at all apologetic, demonstrated zero concern and made no gesture for the inconvenience. A simple apology and an offer of a complimentary dessert or something would have gone a long way.
We had the pleasure of paying the bill - minus the chicken and waffles and breakfast taco - and I enjoyed the shame of having picked this place to enjoy a leisurely brunch with my family....
Read moreOh where to start… We’ve been to this location about 4 million times. Always have had a nice experience. It was a great place to take our kids that didn’t leave us sacrificing on food quality. The adult food was good and so was the kids food. I’ll start with our server. Deb was great. Zero complaints. Deb kicks ass. We noticed immediately that it wasn’t that busy for a Saturday at 645, which seemed odd cause it’s always packed. Maybe less busy because of the following things. The menu recently changed, however, I personally don’t care for many of the changes. We both had salmon, my wife had the salmon salad and I had the entree. The salad was very… salady. Not much aside from the romaine and arugula. Also no more green goddess dressing or blue cheese dressing. Thought that was kinda strange. The salmon was also very mild tasting . Not bad, just super mild in flavor. My salmon came w jasmine rice and veggies. I swear the rice was regular white rice; like I’d bet on it. The wings also changed. We got garlic/parm and it had a heavy smoked flavor. The kids menu no longer has mac n cheese. Kids got a cheese flatbread and buttered noodles. They seemed relieved happy with the food, they ate it. The dessert menu has also changed. No lava cake!!! There were three options for dessert that came in those little cup thingies. They were out of one of em so down to two. We passed on dessert.
The bathroom was an experience. Only one soap working and no paper towels in either of the dispensers. There was a roll of tp on the counter, for drying hands? Stuff on the floor. Not dirty, but messy. We also noticed two of the table tops were plywood when the table cloths were removed. Like right out of Home Depot plywood. Kind of odd. They ran out of kids menus and had to print more. We asked a few times for them and they eventually came out. I get it, stuff happens. Went with 3 stars because Deb was great and honestly I feel bad giving a restaurant I really liked less than 3.
Overall, I’m disappointed. The changes to the menu were changes that I can’t say have improved the place. Also, the atmosphere was just strange for lack of a better word. It kinda felt like a place that was dying...
Read moreGood portion size, food is usually delicious. Sometimes service can be hit or miss but as a former restaurant service employee i usually let bad service slide. Employees are very nice at this location. Pictures are cod sandwhich with jalapeno target sauce and fries. Tater tots, a bit pricey for some fried potato but taste delicious. Appetizer shrimp taco, sauces were excellent, great food and I will be going back.
I've been back several times. The service is really starting to lack. The last experience was bad. It could have been OK at best but the server just couldn't get anything right. It ruined our experience. It wouldn't have been so bad but the family was from out of town and they were treating us to a meal, and we took them here to catch dinner.
Long story short the guy took forever to show up, drinks took a long time, he did take our order when he delivered drinks, which was nice since we had soo much time before he showed up, everybody was ready. Then he tried to take a simple order... geez. He really screwed up an extremely easy order. Then the food took a long time (back of house problem) sandwiches were hard on top soggy on bottom from sitting in the heated window, salad was limp and absolutely destroyed with dressing (despite the dressing on side request) we choked the food down and left. The server Kinda ruined the whole experience with his tardiness and the errors and the bad server timing and bad technique and general awkwardness. Maybe he is new? Maybe he just stinks? Not sure. Not gonna name drop but I probably should, it could save your dinner!! I will return, but will avoid that server...
