ALDI — Local services in Fairlawn

I was in this Aldi last week w my husband. While there noticed this lady putting things in her Aldi bags that she freely picked up to fill She was just putting in bag more items then she was scanning. I reported because I felt I was doing the right thing. The Lady thanked me for reporting. But guess what ? Her husband n her walked out n got in their Cadillac suv...so if theses prices go up because of theft..they did NOTHING. My husband n I couldn't believe it. I feel they got away because they were White. Aldi u need to step up...because I am not going to be shopping there if you continue to allow this. And I promise this behavior next time will be a video...so your sign reads monitoring in progress means nothing. And stealing is not against the law for certain people . Aldi is a great supermarket with fresh food, thanks to its quick turnover, and the checkout process is always fast and efficient. However, I’m giving a 3/5 rating because of the coin-based cart system. This feels outdated and inconvenient, especially in today’s cashless society where many shoppers, myself included, rarely carry coins. There have been several times I’ve avoided Aldi altogether simply because I didn’t have a coin for a cart. Even when I do shop there for essentials like organic milk and eggs, I end up struggling with groceries in my hands because I couldn’t get a cart. It really takes away from an otherwise smooth experience. Aldi has adopted modern, efficient payment systems, which makes the coin-cart system feel even more out of place. If you want to get in and out of the grocery store quickly Aldi is the only place to go. They claim that they're less expensive than other grocery stores and there are two large ones within a few minutes drive.They have their own name brand products that contribute to lower prices and I find their selection of fruits and vegetables to generally be quite fresh due to the rapid turnover and frequently filling of stock. They are beginning to have non-GMO and organic alternatives to some of the fruits and vegetables with slightly higher prices but appropriate for your health. You will not find many name brands for things like mustard and ketchup and other accoutrements but their brands are competitive in flavor and less expensive. You need to rent a car for a quarter that's returnable and you need to bring your own food containers unless you want to pay...
