Got the Pad Thai dish because that’s the name of the place, so it must be good, right? Worse Pad Thai I’ve ever had. Seriously. I have never had Pad Thai this nasty. Got it togo because my mother in law got it for my husband and I. The Pad Thai had a lot of different flavors and none of them were good. Incredibly bland and salty, and for some reason sweet? Tasted like there was cinnamon in it for some reason? Horrible. It did not taste like any Pad Thai I’ve ever had. And everything tasted old (ingredients tasted spoiled and the shrimp was really fishy) and the food was really “wet”. I tried to salvage it by eating just the meat but the sauce was overpowering. I tried to muscle it down because I was starving. I doused it in lime juice to make it bearable (I like my pad Thai with some squeezed limes) but the more I ate, the more lime juice I needed and the more nauseas I got. I couldn’t keep it down. I threw up. I have no idea how the rest of the menu tastes, but if they screwed up something as basic as Pad Thai (the dish their restaurant is named after!), I would just avoid this place all together.

Honestly shocked about the strong reviews. I love Thai food and this is easily some of the worst I’ve had. I don’t like giving bad reviews but I’ve never wanted a refund so badly. My biggest issue was with the map I tofu. It was unsettlingly bland in color and flavor. Not AT ALL what it’s supposed to be. And really with the frozen peas and carrots? I understand the need to make things more efficient in a fast casual restaurant but this was easily the worst Mapo tofu I’ve ever had. Literally went straight into the trash. I also ordered the pad Thai. It was edible but with it being the restaurant’s namesake, I expected it to be better. Ordered spice level 3, “spicy” and it was not spicy at all. I should have listened to the yelp reviews which were far worse and likely more realistic than google.

We were in town for a quick getaway and found ourselves craving some Thai food. A quick search, and this place popped up. We scanned the menu, and after some negotiations between the wife and I, I ordered our meal. We started out with the Thai dumplings, which were great. They were steamed nicely with lovely flavor from both the dumplings and the sauce. For our meal, we went simple with pineapple tofu fried rice and chicken/shrimp pad thai. They were both tasty and filling. We ended up with leftovers because of the generous portion sizes. No complaints. For dessert, we had the tiramisu, which was great. The one piece made a fantastic dessert for the two of us. Would recommend and would stop in again when we come back for a visit to Akron.

My friend and I dined here the evening of January 2nd. We were looking for a nicer place we could sit down and talk while enjoying dinner. We arrived a little after 8 and the dining room was almost empty. The night was cold and rainy so this wasn't really a surprise. The waiter was at our table almost immediately for our drink order (before we even picked up the menu). She was very nice but as the evening progressed it became apparent she was just pressuring us to eat as fast as we could so she could leave. When we asked for more time with the menu, she came back two minutes later (literally). The food itself was mediocre; not bad, just bland and forgettable. The highlight is their tofu, which is thinly pressed and rolled, a nice touch. However, this is really about the service. Our server dropped the check off before either of us had finished eating (she also came by multiple times during the meal to check if we were finished). For a place that fancies itself a "fine dining" and "white table cloth" restaurant, this is obviously bad form. I gave her my credit card to pay, which she promptly brought back (and just as promptly collected after I signed and then disappeared). My friend and I still wanted to sit and visit, even though our server was no longer anywhere to be found and our drinks were empty (with no hope of a refill or another round in sight). However, at 9:40 the manager on duty came by and told us we would have to leave because they were closing up. Their posted closing is at 10. I have been involved in the restaurant business in some capacity for nearly 20 years and this is the first (and only) time I have been asked to leave a restaurant. Period. The fact it was well before closing borders on absurd. I guess the manager of this place values leaving 20 minutes early to creating a welcoming atmosphere or...

JUST CLOSE THE DOORS

DECIDED TO GIVE A SECOND CHANCE

WORST THEN THE LAST

First took over 10 minutes to order a drink. Then another 10 min after that to receive the drinks. Ordered two appetizers only took about 25 minutes to receive these. one was egg rolls very good, second was dumplings ice cold dumplings. Just what we wanted to eat was cold pork. had to yell across restaurant several times to get service. would order a beer then in would take about 10-15 minutes to receive. food took about 45 minutes to come out at least for two of the meals. the other meal was about 7-10 minuets latter. food was great besides cold pork.. But taking 1.5 hours to eat at a restaurant is insane. Asked for a Togo box. dropped us off four card board Asian food take out boxes. We had to yell back across restaurant to get a container to put the soup in. If the dude only had a brain this wouldn't have been a problem. last thing so I do not waste any more of my life on this place. the lady at the counter taking my money was a real Bi**h. I told her how the service was horrible and she started getting all huffy and puffy with me and another customer that had a horrible time. I had to get my own receipt off the register when ringing out . said its was her first day. guess what not my problem paid good money expected a lot more. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD JUST CLOSE THE DOORS SO NO ONE HAS TO GO THROUGH THIS ORDEAL EVER AGAIN.

your service sucks food is good wont...

This was one of my favorite restaurants, and the Pad Thai in Hudson is where I took my wife on our first date. We came to this one for an anniversary lunch, and have eaten here dozens of times. We got Thai Rolls, Golden Lotus, Yellow Curry Chicken and Pad Thai Noodles. We had these same dishes at this restaurant in the past and they were great and something we always craved. Today, it appeared the restaurant is short staffed. The floor and tables were dirty. The server was also the cook, and also probably the one that cleans when he gets a chance. One of my Golden Lotus was warm and the others were not. This appetizer had always had a mixture of different textures and tastes. Today it was mushy and bland and I am guessing it was not very fresh. The Thai Rolls were also very bland and had an off taste, maybe fried in old oil...in fact, all the food was very bland. My wife's Yellow Curry Chicken needed salt and had a mustardy taste. She had raw potatoes in her dish. My Pad Thai was steaming hot but very bland. The shrimp were hard. We ate the appetizers and took a few bites of the main courses and we both agreed that with the lack of cleanliness and the bland food, that we were not going to chance eating it and get sick. I returned home hungry. We took our food to go but dumped it when we got home. This was one of my favorite restaurants but I will likely not return. This is...
