I’m sorry to report, I just had a very dismal and piss poor service experience at this penn station today. I rarely leave a review on anything but I feel for the good of the public and discerning taste buds I must: approximate 4pm, 7/2/18. I enter restaurant and am not greeted. A worker is busy in service area but unresponsive to me. She engages me a few minutes later with “what would you like”, vagueness without a smile in the least or any indication of enthusiasm that she’s interested to make my visit and food a good experience. “Grilled or cold”. What on them?.. no eye contact just very stand offish. She asked what was to go on the dagwood but not the tuna.. “what about the toppings on the tuna don’t I get to pick? I ask”... “yeah I’ll get to it down this way “.. both sandwiches being toasted. Then I noticed the flies. All around the condiments area. And counter. She has plenty time to watch with content at the screen with the basketball press conference out in the dining area... but the work station -and my sandwich or the flies?... Not so much. I’m put off at this point be her indifference and the flies, I’m wanting to bolt but now there’s people in line and they haven’t been waited on and a few are after me at register waiting for their same “service “... she totally forgot my cheese on the tuna. And she seemed upset that I asked for more mayo, and vinegar packets for the fries. Tell you what: GET ANOTHER JOB. Do us all a favor. And management? MANAGE. AND CLEAN IT UP. Your product is slightly overpriced in the Montrose area and there’s a door every 30 yards that is eager to take your business. I hope this employee has a better day, and gets out of retail customer service cause it’s not workin out for her. I’ll not ever be back at this locale. Read moreEntered at 8:17pm and was immediately told you close at 9pm …ummm ok - was shooed to the next register to pay. The young man at the second register mumbled something about a cookie which I declined but did not hear him ask about drinks - I told him I told the first gentleman that I wanted two lemonades and a water and he said that he only takes sandwich orders so there is no way I could’ve ordered my two lemonades and a water with him so anyway he canceled my transaction and redid it…. Immediately after we ordered a another family came in and was told that it’s gonna take a while cause they already closed down 90% of their grills, etc., etc. After them, a gentleman came in and was told the same thing the gentleman questioned, “why would you turn down 90% of your Grill when you’re still supposed to be open for 30 more minutes?” … I told him that he said the same thing to us and the other family as well and that they should not close anything down until they close at 9pm instead of 8:30 pm when they’re still OPEN - The employee fired back that he does not want to be there all night. I told him to get a job that doesn’t stay open until 9 PM then. The gentleman that came in after us said aloud to everyone that he could feel the bad vibe as soon as he walked in the door and he apologized that we were treated that way. Anyway, as karma would have it about 15 more people came in the door and we are leaving now. The food was good. It’s five till nine and the restaurant is packed. This is the Fairlawn location, Sunday May 26,2024 I did not get the two employees names but they were both rude, unprofessional and very disgruntled about customers come in to eat...
Read moreI frequent Akron and Cleveland area Penn Stations due to my job. It dictates which location i will have my lunch. I have ordered at the Failawn location numerous times. This locale can at times get very busy do to the surrounding businesses. I typically rotate between three different sandwiches and know my selection when reaching the counter to order. At this location I am always cordially greeted and sometimes by name. I am always impressed how I can get in N out especially due to many orders placed at lunch time. Upon leaving I always thank the crew behind the counter with a reply back of 'Have a great day'. I would like to especially call out Jason. His persona is fantastic with the customers.
