The Best Coffee Shop Around—Hands Down!

We’ve been coming to Nervous Dog for years, and it’s still our absolute favorite coffee shop in the area. There’s a reason it was voted Best Coffee in the Beacon Journal’s Best of the Best—they truly know what they’re doing when it comes to coffee.

The quality is unmatched. Whether it’s a latte, cold brew, or just a perfectly brewed cup of coffee, every drink is made with care. You can tell they use fresh, high-quality beans, and everything always tastes smooth and rich—never burnt or bitter.

Beyond the coffee, the atmosphere is what keeps us coming back. It’s warm, inviting, and just the perfect spot to relax, get some work done, or catch up with friends. The baristas are friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they take pride in what they do.

Nervous Dog isn’t just a coffee shop—it’s a staple in the community. We love that they support local businesses and give back to the area. There’s something special about a place that not only serves great coffee but also makes you feel like part of the family.

If you haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out. This is, without a doubt, the best coffee...

I transport disabled clients, and many of them like to stop and get a coffee. I usually stop at coffee places with drive thrus or curbside options. This location in Fairlawn has always been rude to me whenever they bring out my curbside order. The staff must not like to bring out the drinks. However, with my clients in the car, I am unable to get out and go in. It is my opinion that this location is not disability friendly, and this is very sad. I went today 7/8/2023. And the young lady who brought out the drinks was the most rude person I have experienced at this location. She did not even bring out straws for our iced drinks. And my client can only drink out of a straw. The disabled community is very fragile. I hope this location can do better in respecting those who are less fortunate, and those of us who provide services for the...

I've been coming to this location for years, pretty much since they opened, but I am not sure I will continue coming back. Over the past two years the quality of their drinks has gone way down. I normally order a latte of sorts and the quality of the milk has been very poor. The barista's need to be better educated on correctly steaming milk for a latte & cappuccino. When ordering a latte - it is just hot milk with no texture. When ordering a cappuccino, the milk is just bubbly and has no frothy texture as it should. Their baristas also normally seem irritated to serve the customers, like we're an inconvenience. And per a pervious customer review, their store does need to be cleaned, it is very dirty. On a more positive note - the taste of their espresso is phenomenal, I buy the beans to make my own...

As a coffee aficionado, I was very disappointed. The milk was over-steamed, poorly aeriated and overall sloppily done. Then, they simply took a spoon and dumped the steamed milk on top of my beverage! Poor microfoam texture; not what I was expecting from a place specializing in coffee. Service speed needs improvements as well. Right now, their closest competition is instant coffee. Final note, ceramic mugs should be used, as they not only improve the experience as a coffee drinker, but save tons of waste from carboard cups and plastic lids.

Really cool local coffee shop with a large food and drink menu. I stopped in because of the 2025 Drip Drive. The barista was really nice and friendly. I was adventurous and tried the Raspberry Vanilla White Chocolate drink, it was good but a little sweet so I'll go for something with more coffee or espresso next time. I loved my sausage egg & cheese everything bagel. They don't have a lot of comfortable seating options inside, mostly window bars, but there are a few tables and seats outside that are really nice.

Always a great experience here. Baristas are super friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to please. Sometimes the line is long, but only because they’re so good! The seasonal Real Pumpkin Chai is my absolute favorite and I wish it was available year-round. The cold brew is consistently great. My bf loves to drink it black. We also love to get the breakfast sandwiches. You can’t go wrong with anything here! We seem to get multiple drinks every visit!
