How the mighty have fallen. This was once a respectable place for a nice meal, but is a shadow of its former self today.
We went in as a table of eight, but on the booth and table side. We were waiting on two people, so they made us was. Irritating, but a policy is a policy I suppose.
As we sat around, I asked if we could get seated so we could grab some drinks. She said no because there were couples that wanted seats. I don't really understand that, but we ultimately got seated... When we did, there were FIVE booths that were empty, clean, and ripe with clean silverware. So they were full of crap.
But okay, now we are seated. There were four booths with 2/3 people each. We didn't get to order until 15/20 minutes after being seated. Works sat around and watched, saying nothing to us. Remarkably, our waitress was super nice and helpful, but what took so long is beyond me. She was great for our experience.
The food finally came out. Food was underwhelming around the table, considering the price. Don't get the fried calamari, it was like four maybe five onion ring looking things that were super chewy and cold. Price should have been my indicator there.
After they emptied my bank account, I want home remarkably disappointed. Everything down to the bathroom was disappointing... The counter was soaked, there were fans on the ground, not running, but I assume they have standing water often. The paper towel dispenser wasn't working, but don't worry! They have a roll of towels sitting in standing water on the counter!
Frankly, I'd of had a better experience at Denny's, plus I'd of saved a bunch of money.
I'm not saying don't try this place, but it's not what it once was. The staff, especially the hostess band, is a mess. The restaurant is not being maintained. The food quality is falling as the price rises.

Read moreI’ve been to shogun a time or two. Usually is packed and waits are hours long( for hibachi) my most recent experience was truly disappointing to say the least. We were seated in the back part of the restaurant, tables are for smaller parties. The table we sat at had a leak coming from the ceiling, it was at a slow drip when we sat down which turned into a fast flow. We asked several times to be moved and seated somewhere else, our request fell on deaf ears. As they began to prepare our food the ceiling gave way and fell to the ground and water is now pouring out of the ceiling. Water splashed up onto the grill and into our faces. Those sitting closest to the area were soaking wet. The chef was insisting we could still eat the food and tried getting us to sit back down.(even though the ceiling water splashed over everything) After being told no they told us that they could move our table and remake all of our food at no cost for the incident. We agreed as it was late and we hadn’t gotten our dinner. After they remade our food we got up to leave and the owner comes in with a bill telling us that we still had to pay and tried to discount our price. We politely declined and reminded them that they’ve just told us we could get our food remade at no cost. Out of all the people who stayed to eat, my husband and I were the only ones they tried to get to pay for our bill. Everything that night was totally sketchy. Read moreTerrible online ordering experience. Placed order online, received a notification that my order was placed and that was all the communication I got. No email, text, phone call. I waited an hour in hopes that my order would be ready. I did call 4 different times in the hour to check on my order status, 2x busy signal, 1x answering machine, 1x disconnected.. I arrived to find my food order just sitting on the bar. Hot food and Cold food all in the same bag. Who knows how long it was sitting there. I asked why No communication about the order ready process. Was told to call the restaurant, I say I called 4x NO One answered the phone. Sorry sir you can see we’re really busy. If your can’t offer a good customer experience don’t offer a service... Food was fine. Yakitori-chicken was a dry bland flavorless dish. Chicken skewers look like it was cooked/reheated in a microwave and then set into a pool of sauce in hope if some flavor imparting. Pass Age Gyoza- So heavy on the onion it’s the only thing you taste. So over cooked charred so hard on some sides that the dumpling skin just fell apart and the rest of it was so dry and over cooked it fell apart as well. Pass- My kids love Dumplings so this right here is a reason I won’t be Back... 5 other rolls ordered All so Heavy on sauces that you couldn’t even taste or distinguish what fish was in them.
