The rating that I have given on this review is in no way a reflection in the performance of work by the young lady who was the server!! She, Lisa B., performed her work her job very well and I was very satisfied and pleased with how she performed her duties! The one star rating that is my review for Red lobster is in the company itself not it's co-workers at the Fairview Heights, IL location. The menu that they now offer has changed over the last 10 plus years of eating there basically doing a 180° in the fact that when I first remember going there some 25-30 years ago, the menu of food that they would make for the customers that they offered with such a tremendous selection. It had multiple pages it was an actual menu book that consisted of roughly 5 to 6 pages in this so-called "Menu". Now it's just basically that of a small single pamphlet you have a few items listed on one side drinks and appetizers on the other side. How can someone such as myself who is lactose intolerant and has been able to eat at this restaurant countless times before in the past, how are they able to be able to enjoy having seafood when the prices are so tightly limited?? Now granted being lactose intolerant, yes there are items on the menu that are available for someone like myself to be able to eat and hopefully enjoy. But if I'm wanting seafood, or seafood and pasta, they're basically is nothing left because Red lobster has taken all the choices and all the options and remove them from their menus making it virtually impossible again for someone who is lactose intolerant like myself, to be able to go and enjoy a good pasta and or seafood and pasta dinner. As a result, unless Red lobster changes their menu and starts offering more options and selections of food that do not include, such as a marinara sauce in their pasta, I will no longer partake in any kind of visit to that restaurant or their food chain. Again, this is in no way shape or form a reflection of the people who work for the company at the Fairview Heights Illinois restaurant, it is merely due to the fact that the company themselves have caused me to do a...
Read moreWhere to start. I have been dining at this establishment since I was a teenager. Back in the day this facility would have been considered somewhat "fine dining" and a treat for your family that everyone would get dressed up for in their Sunday best, this is not the case anymore. When my wife and I first entered we were greated and it was explained that we would have a 15 min wait for a table, which isn't bad. My wife and I seated ourselves at the bar to wait for a table and noticed there were 10-15 unoccupied tables we could have been seated at, ok, no big deal. My wife and I ordered 2 adult beverages from the bar while we waited on an "open" table. My wife and I waited approximately 10 minutes at the bar, but never received our drinks, the bar tender was overwhelmed with 2 food orders at the bar and the added effort of cracking 2 beers may have sent her over the edge. When we were seated I started to notice the gittyness of being on a date starting to fade from my wife so we ordered 2 more adult beverages, fortunately these ones showed. As I looked around I was saddened by the state of disrepair this facility had come to starting with our seats. The old booth style seats we were in had seen better days, little to no cushion, we may as well have been seated on boards. Our table was stained, wobbly and barely wiped down clean. The atmosphere of the entire facility was just run down;damaged wood, damaged walls, dirty widows and broken/dusty lighting to name a few. It took approximately an hour and fifteen minutes for our order to get to us. My wife was ok with her meal but my salmon was was overcooked and dry like it had been reheated. The one good positive I have from this outing is that our waitress was exceptionally nice and understanding of our frustration. With the food prices this facility should be able to keep up with maintenance. I spent over 100$ for just the wife and I...You can...
Read morePoor customer service and the food was meh at best. We were celebrating my stepson's birthday. We had a reservation for 10 people at 3:00 -- we were not seated until 3:50 p.m. My husband kept going up to the hostess station to ask about the status of our table. The young ladies, inadequately trained for customer service, had very bad attitudes. We were told we could not be seated because the kitchen was busy! Really? You are an established restaurant in the area -- not your first time being busy! Once we were seated, our waitresses Lisa and Baby (I think that was her name) were very polite. We placed our orders and waited another 20 minutes for our food. Please waitresses with long nails, keep your nails out of people's food when handing over plates! Also, there were dirty silverware and plates! Nasty! Anyway, our servers were meh as well. Polite as I said. My husband called over the manager after a number of orders were wrong when they arrived at the table. People in our party received refills on tea/soft drinks we didn't need and those needing refills received none! Orders were mixed up and items were not included that were ordered! My husband politely told the manager of our very bad experience and SHE DID NOTHING! Keep in mind we live in the area and have been to this restaurant many, many times with no problems. Please hire professionals to greet your customers when they come to patronize your establishment or to inquire as to the length of a wait to be seated and also, yeah hire a manager who is a professional as well. T-R-A-I-N-I-N-G! I am not sure if this is a franchise location, but there is a need to re-examine what is happening at your restaurant. We were not given any inducement to come back here and will not...
