Food wasn't great. My kids received the Grinch pancakes. It was drenched in the sweet sugary smooth icing. So much so that my children didn't like it. The pancakes were overly soggy upon arrival, as if they were sitting in the icing for awhile before served to us. The pancakes were literally wet and falling apart in a wet bread way. I think they use different sausage links now, they weren't bad, just not the staple ones Im used to, and love.
But the biggest issue I had was, although there was no wait time, when were to be seated the hostess said follow me then dipped. As I turned to instruct my kids to follow I looked up and she was gone into the dining room. I said to the other hostess where'd she go, and the hostess told me, you have to move quickly here. I said Im the customer I shouldn't have to move quickly. when we got to the dining area we had to stop look around and find the hostess to see where we would be sitting. Three things: 1it's important to direct your guests at a speed to which they're comfortable (I used to work in customer service so I know it requires patience but it's respectful) 2 I have three young children with me and myself recovering from a recently broken leg, shouldn't have to cause myself pain, or my kids to scramble to convenience the service I'm about to pay for. 3 despite this, my waitress was amazing and sweet, really lifted my spirits. So because of that I tipped just over 35% my bad experience was not due to her. And I think she could sense my anxiety and went out of her way to be polite. Wish I could...
Read moreThis particular IHOP has always been my favorite in the past. I’m no longer loving this IHOP. Three times I’ve come in to eat during the last month around 4:30 pm. I have been there when there were 4 other people there, and 17 other people there. Stood at the proper area waiting to be acknowledged by anyone. I’ve waited up to 10 minutes to be seen and seated each time. In early June I watched 2 female servers sitting in a separate room look at me and no one got up from their conversation until I moved closer to where they were and stared at them. Plus very disappointing change in the pancakes all three visits . They were very thin and actually opened up and fell apart when I tried to put butter on the bottom one. Seemed like they were filled with air. And the syrup came out watered down. I poured some on a napkin to double check and it even looked watery. I took a syrup from another table, and it was better. 2 stars only because the rest of the food was acceptable and the server I had the third visit actually asked me if I needed anything and promptly gave me my check. The 2nd of the 3 visits NO ONE was on the floor for a good 10 minutes. People were waiting to be seated. I wanted my check. Another table was looking around also. We could have all just walked out and drove away and no one would have noticed. What is...
Read moreThis place is disgusting. I could tell just walking up to the entry door, but it just worsened once I stepped inside. I came here with my family before going to a nearby amusement park, sesame place so we figured IHOP would be a decent breakfast. Our table was dirty so I ask our waitress if we could please have something to wipe it down, it happens and it could just be that someone missed to clean it but considering it’s a slow Wednesday morning, I don’t really comprehend as to why this place is so filthy. We get our food and although I appreciate that IHOP wants me to have my daily calorie consumption in one sitting, the steak omelette was bland and had bones (not cartilage) all through out the omelette forcing me to just eat everything but the steak. Our waitress wasn’t attentive to our requests and seemed to be bothered when I would ask her to bring us what we previously have asked for. One of which being whip cream for my brothers pancakes. Just a nice dollop would of been nice but some servers prefer to be passive aggressive, whatever her name was (because seriously, everyone working here does not care about their job) practically puts the entire whipped cream bottle onto the bowl. Anyways, if you feel like you want to know what it’s like to eat as if you’re on an episode of my 600 lbs life, then...
