Quick get-away weekend and we wanted seafood, which on Cape Cod offers a plethora of options. Chose the Flying Bridge because of the harbor views and reviews. My wife went classic with belly clams and fries. I went cod with panko on grilled broccolini—a safe comfort food order. Then I saw the Cauliflower Steak with harrisa and citrus tahini yogurt with pine nuts. Had to try that and so glad I did. Stunningly good. The cauliflower was cooked perfectly, initially crisp to the bite and opening to a soft warm inside with that nice grill flavor. Placed on a bed of the silky smooth tahini-citrus-yogurt, the whole bite was memorable. The yogurt tang was balanced by the vaguely nutty tahini and the harrisa lingered in the background with gentle heat. The pine nuts added a nice pop of crunch against the soft cauliflower. The whole dish, from ingredients to cooking to presentation was exceptional. Now for the cod. Usually a cod with panko is a piece of fish covered with buttery breadcrumbs. Not this time. This thick cut piece of cod was cooked perfectly. Not only did the fish nearly melt in the mouth, but the panko was just enough to add a nice crisp to the cod but not so much as to overwhelm the fish under a pile of breadcrumbs! A few capers sprinkled on top released a nice refreshing salty-vinegar burst into the mix of every bite. Of course the broccolini was perfectly grilled. Overall, the meal was so good, I asked to see the chef to shake his hand on preparing these meals. The service was great too (ask for Tarjet) prompt with a sense of humor. Two words: go now!

Where do I begin?!? Since I was on Cape Cod, I wanted seafood - and in Falmouth, it seems the place to go was here.. locals love it, tourists love it, and I was ready for some good seafood. The facility itself is awesome, and we had a table right on the waterway- We dined to the passing of all sorts of boats. The place filled up quickly, and we realized how fortunate we were to have a table by the water. There was live music from the bar, far enough away to be background, but close enough to enjoy - and talented musicians. The day was a perfect temperature, and the building provided the shade we needed to be protected from direct sunlight. Our server was great, and the turnaround from the kitchen was surprisingly quick. The only mixup occurred when our food was delivered - but we all shared each other’s plates anyway, so it was a non-issue. (Side note: I don’t normally share plates- but there were SO many things we wanted to try that we had no choice. And I am so glad we did) The food was off-the-charts amazing, the blackened options were some of the best I have ever had. The onion rings were the kind you can only find in New England, and the house-made horseradish sauce is perfect. Pricey- just so you know.. but if I am paying for an experience, not just a meal, this was it - and worth every penny. Well done. 🏆

I don’t really know how to start so I’ll just get right into it. We walked in and gave the name to the hostess at 7pm, we were told it would be 30-45 min for a table of three. About one hour in we asked the hostess about the hold up, she tells us that it’s out of her hands and that we should seek out the manager because he’s the one that has the list and just relays the names to them when availability opens up. I looked for said manager as I was told to do but couldn’t find him. This is a pretty large venue. At 8:20 our name is called but not before two other parties of three who arrived after us were seated first. We were left with menus at the table for 15 min before the waitress shows up. She was definitely handling more tables than she was able to. The place seemed under staffed for a Saturday night. We place our entire order the first chance we get. Beverages, appetizer and, meal. The drinks came and they were fine except for my wife’s, three of us tasted it and all agreed it tasted like cough medicine. Not at all what we have known this drink to taste like. The food comes pretty quickly but not by our waitress. It tasted fine, pretty bland to be honest but I didn’t hate it. We all finish our meals before we see the waitress helping another table. I call to her for a coke since I hadn’t had anything to drink since we had placed the order, she flys by leaves it on the table. Next time I see her she ask if we’re done with our meals, I tell her we are so she leaves the check and grabs the plates. I put my card down and she’s back for that in a heart beat. She brings me the bill to sign and tip. For a $130 meal I left a 15% tip in cash, the next thing that happens I’ve never had happen before in my life, she grabs the bill as soon as I put the money in it, takes 20 paces away looks at the money and looks back in disgust at me. Not only did I barely see this waitress but she didn’t even bring my food, or even ask why we left an entire alcoholic beverage barely touched on the table. On top of all that I look to my right to see a bus boy hovering over our table with his hands behind his back waiting for us to leave to clean the table. I understand they close at 9 and it was 8:50, but that wasn’t my fault and we weren’t just lallygagging, it was cold outside where they put us by this time and we were just as eager to get out of there as they were. I’ve never experienced something so inherently and...

Had dinner there last night (7/4/2019). The hostess that was working that night (one of the blonde girls) was completely rude and should be fired. I don't know how any place would continue to employ such a rude and terrible person. We sat there for 1.5 hrs. and watched her roll her eyes at any person that asked her for and update.

Our experience... we waited for an hour before asking her for an update. We got the standard answer ("It should be soon"). After waiting another 30 mins, we asked again and she responded with a rude tone. As I walked away, she roller her eyes to her friend I some fat guy standing next to her)... This girl was too ignorant to know that everyone can see her rolling her eyes and how rude she was being. Finally, when we asked her a third time... she told us our name was called hour before.

We pointed out to her that we asked her 3 times , and each time we "should be soon" ,and we were sitting there for almost 2 hours and would have heard our name ... she finally realized dumb she looked and she was caught. There was some retribution seeing her scramble and feel embarrassed while she looked to get us seated.

As we waited for our, surprisingly open table, the other hostesses gave disingenuous apologies, trying to make up for a , most likely , a common practice. When we talked to the manager, he said he would "speak to her"... you know how that goes... he didn't say anything to her and she is probably working their tonight.

We finally sat to eat. The waiter was cold at first , but eventually warmed up. The food we ordered turned out to be mediocre at best.

My advice to the manger... find a better face to your establishment. It says a lot about your management, when you have people like this on the front line. Get people who know how to be professional and handle crowds. Also, we noticed other customers having similar issues, where their names were "called before", when they weren't. Its just not the right thing to do.

My advice to that waitress... go find another job where you don't deal with the public and writing names on a piece of a paper and scratching them off when their names are called, is too difficult for you. Also , don't eat in front of customers who are waiting to be seated for longer than they should be. You would think that is common sense... but that might be aiming too high for...

Delicious food, friendly service, no problem with either of those. And this review is entirely in reference to the Oyster and Sushi fest that occurred this past Saturday (Nov 8). Left feeling insulted by the prices. One year ago this event was free to attend and oysters and sushi were $1 a piece. This year the event cost $23.50 per person to attend. They did not advertise what that ticket cost covered. Apparently because that ticket cost only got you in the door, for an event that was free for the last two years. And now the food tickets were $4 each. So it went from $1 per oyster to $4, while many restaurants still have $1 oyster specials. I get inflation, but you're really telling me the cost of oysters has increased 400% in the last year? Doubt it. We were told the sushi was $4 per PIECE, not roll, not half roll, a singular piece, but they were "bigger than average". They were delicious, but regular size. Next year if you want anyone to attend, you should either go back to making the event free, or at least include 5-10 food tickets in each event ticket. Laughable that I paid $23.50 to walk in the door. Also consider slashing food ticket prices at least in half. The fact that I paid nearly $50 for myself and my better half to attend, and then another $60 for 15 pieces of sushi, essentially 2 rolls, plus a $20 martini, is kind of insane. I definitely won't be returning if this isn't changed. These prices might have made some sense in the summer, but this is November, you're only ripping off the locals. I also believe live yacht rock was advertised and there was no live band, but maybe I misunderstood that one. If the explanation for this price gouging was to raise money for Jamaica, as some patrons have guessed, not only was it not made clear, but there was no call for donations and that would have only made sense for either the $23.50 ticket cost or charging 4 times last year's cost for food tickets, not both. There really is no reason to price gouge your locals like this. Since the prices were not advertised beforehand, I wasn't going to just leave after already spending the money on the ticket cost, so I felt obligated to at least get some sushi. Seems like a very dishonest way of doing business. I hope you address this and plan better for next year, because I'd love to change my opinion...
