Nice atmosphere in a cool old building. Wonderful bartender that knew their selection (which is good) well and was fun to chat with. Basement was was cool as well. Went for open comedy mic night. Room was much better than the talent. A couple of funny people and very friendly culture among the regulars and toward us newcomers...but to much ignorant, simple, low brow and generally crude sexual comedy for my liking.

The Front Street Taproom is my number one stop in the Fargo/Moorhead area. They always have a quality selection of great beers and things to enjoy. From their trivia nights and live music to their comedy club 'The Cellar' on Wednesdays and weekends there is never a dull moment. Owners and employees are fun and friendly. Not to mention Rhombus guys will deliver for a great meal.

Front Street Taproom exudes a feeling of hanging out in Teddy Roosevelt's living room. It's so incredibly warm and comfortable, with eclectic art and seasonal decorations always present.

The Beer: They exclusively feature regional craft beer, which is a huge benefit for multiple reasons. There are some excellent breweries in Fargo-Moorhead (and you should hit those places up too!), but you can't always guarantee the local breweries are going to have your favorite style of beer available. Front Street builds their ever-rotating selection from over a dozen breweries in MN, ND and SD, ensuring that there's likely to be multiple offerings of your preferred beer style. In addition, you are buying local and regional beers, and that's important to me.

The Space: The bar is long and spacious, and there are low-top and high-top seating available on the main floor. The mezzanine (think a balcony above the main floor) has a number of vintage wingback chairs and couches further drives home the comfort of a living room and creates the ultimate chill experience. Those low top tables in the mezzanine and the main floor are perfect for setting up a board game with friends, or a game of cribbage. They also have the space in the basement which is known as The Cellar, which primarily serves as a comedy club on the weekends and also hosts a number of events throughout the week. Both the mezzanine and the Cellar are reservable/rentable spaces for all many of parties and company events.

The Activities: Front Street has the best game selection of any bar in town, with nearly 50 games in their ever-growing library. They also encourage you to bring in your own games. Sundays are officially game day at Front Street, so you can show up and makes some new friends to play games with! Weekly free events are Open Mic on Mondays, Bar Trivia on Tuesdays, Open Mic Comedy Wednesdays in the Cellar, Vinyl Night on Thursdays with several featured DJs and often themed(!), live musicians Friday and Saturday night, and Open DJ tables on Sunday (and Game day of course).

The Snacks: Front Street has a number of snackies available at the bar. Further supporting local businesses, available snacks include Meat Sticks from the NDSU Meat Lab, Bagel Chips and Beet Hummus from radically awesome local restaurant, BernBaums, and PIckled Eggs from Fargo Brewing's Ale House. How flipping dope is that? They also actively encourage patrons to order nearby (and delicious eats) from Rhombus Guys Pizza. Rhombus will happily deliver your food to the Taproom for no additional fee (maybe give the delivery person a tip though!).

I love this bar for the aesthetic, the beer, the staff, the events and the owners for what they do to support local business, non-profits, and other humans in the...

How have I waited so long to do a review for Front Street? Good grief! This place is easily one of the best bars in Fargo-Moorhead. The staff are friendly, the local tap selection is always on-point and the vibe is super chill.

In no particular order, here are a few of my favorite things about Front Street: EXCELLENT TRIVIA (Tuesdays): As an avid trivia fan, I've played just about everywhere in town and it's hard to find a place that has not only a solid game-pace but also a great variety of questions... Front Street is that place. VINYL VIBES (Wednesdays and Sundays): In short, it's pretty cool to have a DJ spinning tunes from all genres & eras of music. LIVE MUSIC (Thursday - Saturday): Looking for the best of local musicians and traveling acts? Front Street is an awesome spot to listen to live tunes in an environment that gives you space to actually enjoy the music. EVENT SPACE: Between the upstairs and the cellar, Front Street has multiple options for events of all sizes. Looking for the perfect place for your office Christmas gathering, friends-of-friends Halloween party, a casual happy hour? I guarantee it, Front Street will deliver.

Takeaway: this is one of my favorite places in Fargo. Do yourself a favor and stop by to...

My husband and I rented out the Cellar at Frontstreet for our wedding rehearsal dinner and IT WAS AMAZING. The setup allowed all of our guests to mingle and feel comfortable while maintaining a chic and unique atmosphere. Frontstreet Taproom/the Cellar staff made it so easy to plan for as well! They took care of everything! We just told them which package we wanted and it was all set up and prepared for us when we and our guests arrived - complete with Rhombus Guys pizzas and drink tickets so our guests could try a variety of our local favorites that Frontstreet offers. We fully enjoyed the friendly staff, whom were so incredibly helpful! This is quite honestly the best kept secret in the FM area if you're looking to rent a space for any type...
