Nice little cute tea and ice cream place. I liked the delicious boba tea and the ice cream for what it was. Because the store is small, options are a little limited compared to the ones I like to go to downtown.
I do like that they don't skimp on the boba. They we're definitely generous in that regard. It's also nice when they're a little closer to where I live compared to downtown and open on Sunday.
Cons are, the tea is a little pricier compared to other places but I think we can say that's due to the convenience of the store's location for some.
As for the ice cream, you'd be better off buying some ice cream from Costco. The quality is much better and so is the price. In comparison, the ice cream quality at Kones isn't worth the price you pay for with how small the portion are. As for the flavors, they are limited and "okay". Nothing like I anticipated it to be like the price would suggest.
Staff were very nice.
Update: always difficult to order on door dash with Kones. Often it's listed unavailable or they cancel my order. Very...
Read moreKones is a really unique and interesting Asian inspired ice cream & dessert place. But I like that, it’s definitely a good thing.
There’s just so much fun to be had here, from the animal themed ice creams to bubble waffle cones, to sticky bun sandwiches and boba teas. You can’t find a ton of that in Fargo, let alone the Midwest, so it’s cool that Kones took it on.
The ice cream is actually quite good. The boba is alright- definitely be careful on the flavor you get. I’d stick with one of the milk teas, but those can also be achingly sweet. But all in all, I like everything. I’ve gone quite a bit in the short time I’ve been there, which usually speaks for itself.
You can also sit and play some bird games if you choose to dine in, and there’s some fun foreign candies and snacks for sale as well. Definitely a rare...
Read moreI came here two days before the new year and it was dead. I actually thought it was closed but tried the door anyway. Server came out from the back and I asked for a plain milk tea with tapioca. She seemed confused and asked if I wanted the Royal milk tea. I didn't know what that was and I asked if she just had anything that was just plain milk tea but she didn't know. I got the Royal and it tasted like hot chocolate kind of. Not bad but also not what I wanted. That was okay but then I got a boba and it was really hard. That ruined my drink entirely. All the bobas were hard. If I was still there I would have asked for fresh bobas. Definitely other spots on Fargo that are better...
