I waited nearly 10 minutes to check before getting on the wait list for gluten free waffles and pancakes because our daughter has Celiac. They told us they did have gluten free waffels and pancakes so we waited another 40 minutes to get a table.
Once we were sat at our table and ordered drinks they told us they were out of gluten free waffles, so my daughter was bummed but said she would take gluten free pancakes instead. The waitress must have then pushed our order through quickly knowing that they were also out of gluten free pancakes before notifying us. The waitress then brought back our bill, when we hadn't even received our food yet, and told us they were also out of gluten free pancakes, but we could go ahead and "pay whenever your ready" because the other food was going to be coming.
When we said we didnt want the food and that we were going to leave and eat elsewhere because our daughter could not have gluten they were rude about us wanting to leave and tried to make us pay for our drinks even though we never got our food. They then tried to tell us they made a mistake and that they did have gluten free pancakes but not waffels. At this point there was no way we were going attempt that option and take a chance of our daughter getting very sick for the whole day. I agreed that I would pay for the drinks since we did get them even though we did not hardly drink any of them before deciding to leave.
Finally another waitress saw the mess and came over to tell me not to pay for the drinks and that they would be taken care of. That other waitress right at the end before we left was the only positive thing about the entire experience.
I cant give a review of the Gluten Free options because we were not able to get any of them, but the staff's attitude toward our situation shows that they do not care if customers have specific dietary needs or not. Just as long as you go ahead and pay...
Read moreMyself and several other customers had less than acceptable customer service this morning (10:30 04/21) Fargo location on 45th.
There were 2 waitresses on the floor that I seen. Neither one of them made eye contact or greeted us for an unacceptable amount of time (about 10 to 12 minutes). There were maybe 5 or 6 tables occupied that I seen so it wasn't very busy. The waitresses were walking around the restaurant, tending tables, and standing at the computer in the back for a period of time together. After some time of standing at the counter waiting, other customers started filling the lobby behind me. There were 7 people waiting and still neither waitresses bothered to even greet us or let us know if there was a wait. Absolutely no acknowledgement at all. I understand things get hectic when multi talking but it would have taken no more than 10 seconds to acknowledg the group of waiting customers. One party left that was behind me in line, shorty after a second part left as well. My party was now the only one standing in the lobby. Finally one waitress spoke from across the restaurant and said she would be right there. We continued to wait another 5 minutes as another customer entered the store. I was paying attention to what the waitresses were doing before deciding how I felt about the situation. From what i observed it was just lack of care. customer service was not a priority. I had seen more than one opportunity where they could have at least let us know they will be with us when they can. While they spent time both standing at the computer in the back one could have quickly greeted the customers or they could have taken 2 seconds before clearing a dirty table. So much business lost that could have easily been prevented. I went down the street to Dennys after I left and was greeted immediately even tho their establishment was far more...
Read moreI hadn’t been to this restaurant in a long time, and a friend wanted some breakfast, so we decided to go. The entry way almost caused me to leave, it smelled disgusting, like chemicals or something sickly sweet. We got seated quickly enough and met our waitress, who was kind and helpful, but very inattentive and spaced out. Our order was simple, the create your own melt with American cheese, one had bacon with a side of hash browns, and the other with ham and a side of pancakes. The sides we chose came out correctly, but the main thing we got were the most disgusting omelets I’ve ever seen. I’m typically not one to say something if I’ve gotten the wrong food, but the omelets looked awful. The cheese on top of these things were just slices of cheese that were unmelted. We had been waiting for our food for around 20 minutes which I wasn’t upset about, but we ended up waiting another 20 minutes for our actual food. Our sandwiches finally got to the table, lukewarm at best and ice cold at worst, with more unmelted cheese. They gave us a second set of sides but at this point I just wanted to leave. After our second set of food arrived, my waitress took my glass of water and iced coffee to refill it, only to return with my coffee and no water. The manager was nice enough to comp the entire meal, but this happened during the evening rush that most restaurants experience. There were maybe three or four tables while we were there, our food should not have taken that long let alone be sent to us cold, and I feel like most management at least attempt to correct an issue first before jumping straight to a full comp. We didn’t even ask for any favors, we just wanted to eat some food we used to like. Honestly probably won’t eat...
