From the moment we walked into K-Pot in Fargo, I was blown away—not only by the sleek, modern appearance of the restaurant but also by the genuinely friendly attitude of every single employee. The energy of the staff immediately set the tone for what turned out to be one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a very long time.
Our server “Regina” was exceptional—one of the best I’ve ever encountered anywhere. She had the perfect balance of professionalism and personality. You could tell she truly cared about giving us the best possible experience. She anticipated what we needed before we even asked and made sure we understood how everything worked for the BBQ. Her demeanor, enthusiasm, and care made the day feel special.
Now, the food—incredible. I’ve eaten Korean food in several places, but this was on another level. What stood out most to me was the kimchi. Authentic kimchi has that perfect balance of saltiness, sweetness, and that subtle fermented seafood flavor—and this one nailed it. It was fresh, flavorful, and complex without being overpowering. You could tell it was made with care and tradition in mind. That alone told me the kitchen knew exactly what they were doing.
What made this visit even more memorable was bringing my son to his very first Korean BBQ and Hot Pot. Watching him experience the joy of cooking his own meat, trying different kinds of meats/Vegetables, and mixing up combinations of flavors was priceless. He rated it a 10 out of 10—and I couldn’t agree more. The variety of meats, sauces, and fresh ingredients gave him a whole new appreciation for Korean cuisine, and he couldn’t stop talking about how good the kimchi was!
All in all, K-Pot Fargo delivered on every level: service, food quality, and authenticity. It’s rare to find a place that checks all the boxes like this one. I’ll definitely be back—and next time, I’ll be bringing more family to experience what has easily become my new favorite...
Read moreGoodness me where do I start.... Getting a table was super easy. Hop on Google and it's right there in the location page. They text you to let you know your table is ready. Super communicative and effortless.
Parking was easy enough, a skip and a hop through the snow and in you go! You are greeted by friendly staff and the sound of deliciousness sizzling in every corner. You are quickly ushered to your table where Hannah expertly explained to us first timers the how to's of this incredible experience. Each table has an iPad for you to scan through every delicious morsel they offer. Id need a completely separate review just to explain all the incredible food. Get yourself some Soju ($15) and browse!
Now with that being said, you have a 2 hour time limit at your table. Oh no! One would think, with other restaurants needing time in between orders to bring you your delights. This is not the case. With every round you ring in on your iPad, I'm talking literally THREE MINUTES goes by and cart after cart comes by delivering you your next scrumptious plate to cook. I easily put down eight plates of decent portioned food.
If your grill face becomes too charred from all the fun cookery, they will offer you a fresh one, drinks are in the fly just like your food. Our date transformed from a casual night out to seeing just how much we could stuff our faces in the time allotted lol!!!
As the final minutes wound down, we were diminished to silence just sitting back in our seats trying our best to breathe lmao! Never have I tasted such incredibly diverse and fresh arrays of culinary delights.
Two bottles of Soju, 2 bottle beers, a cocktail and food, with a 37%-ish tip rounded out to about $166 for the two of us. No this probably won't be a weekly thing for us. But I'm pretty sure we have cemented K-POT as our monthly splurge night together. Come hungry, leave full, in your stomach, your heart, and your soul.
Three cheers...
Read morehiii!!!! this place was nice so i wanted to leave a review
menu: the menu for the soup is on an ipad, which i found pretty neat. theres a lot of stuff to order. i got japanese misu soup with beef, pork belly, quail egg. the menu for drinks is, i think, on paper? i dont rlly remember, but they offer boba as one of the drinks :D they also give u some rice.
how the food is made: honestly a little complicated at first but when u understand how to work it it's pretty easy. they give u a kind of egg-shaped(?) (my sister said its kinda egg shaped) bowl with a big spoon and a bigger, metal bowl which is where the soup is. to keep the soup warm, the metal bowl is put on those black circle dish thingies (idk what theyre called) which heats it up. because of this, the metal bowl can keep the soup too hot, which is why the egg-shaped bowl is there! u put the soup in that bowl and wait for it to cool down. also, the ingredients u order take some time to arrive (not too much time) and u put that on the grill in the middle of the table. the employees explain how to do this. there's also a grill guide on the wall which tells u the amount of time needed to grill stuff :D oh yeah u also get chopsticks i almost forgot that lol
service: very helpful! i dont remember who our waitress is, but she explained stuff and was quick with delivering food in my opinion. waiting to get a table didnt take long at all and theres also a booth to wait on. also i checked some of the lower rating replies and they respond to every one of them formally :D
atmosphere: friendly! it has some fake(?) plants as decoration and other decorations that are neon. it also has some tv's. a bit bright but that might just be because im sensitive to lights ;w;
overall: enjoyable! would come again and would...
