OK so I have been a LOOOOOONG time Icon Meals customer. For many reasons. I have tried every meal company there is out there over the last 10 years or so, but every single time, I come back to Icon Meals. Their food is the cleanest, by farrrrrr the best taste, and most cost effective (which is very important for me, though I will spend more if I have to for better stuff). But Icon Meals really is hands down the best tasting and best price.
However, I've already left a review for that previously over the years, because that's how much I really strongly believe it, but on top of having the best stuff, it's genuinely their customer service and their customer service team that makes me continue to never want to spend all my money anywhere else!!!! LOL
I needed to leave a review for Leo in customer service specifically though. A few weeks ago I had my regularly schedule order scheduled to arrive, but then the hurricane took a turn and it was hands down no change my order was going to be able to be delivered, and I knew my food was going to go bad. I called customer service and was lucky enough to get Leo on the line (which is always super easy to get through and always quick and efficient). Turned out delivery had already been shipped, so I was assuming I was out of luck and it was going to be on me for ordering when I did. However, Leo literally went freaking ABOVE AND BEYOND for me. He not only said not to worry about that original shipment, but he had set up another order to ship out to me the following week!!!! For no cost!!!! It was sooooo unbelievably generous of him to understand the money I spent, knowing it was still going to be shipped but by the time the mail was able to get it to me, it would all be bad. And to have another shipped out for no cost was just absolutely soooo generous!
It gets better.... I had told him the following tuesday would be good to ship, but the storm was worse then expected and it still would have caused issues getting to me. He took the time to check in on the storm, and realize I would still probably not receive. He called me to confirm if I wanted it to still be sent, or wait.......!!!!! SO. unbelievably. thoughtful. And also took the time to check in and make sure I was safe....... unreal.
Thank you so much for being so wonderful, Leo. Your whole team is always wonderful, but really appreciate you so much and makes me never want to spend my money...
Read more1/19/23 I am updating this review to add another few stars. Within minutes of the reply to this review I was issued a full refund for the order. I appreciate the prompt response after such a difficult time with the customer service representative over phone/email.
I would give ZERO stars if that were an option. My husband and I have been Icon Meal customers several times and were incredibly happy with the product/service until this week. We order customized meal boxes. The meals we received on 1/18/23 were shipped overnight, and arrived without dry ice or a way to keep the meals cold/fresh for shipping and delivery (temperatures in Texas were in the 70’s). Most of the meals came soft and almost room temperature. I reached out immediately to Icon Meals support, sharing my concerns about the safety of consuming those meals that did not arrive cold. K did receive communication very quickly, however, it was unsupportive and they did not believe that these items arrived in such a way and only attempted to “reassure safety”. I explained several times the meals arrived very differently than they had in the past, not cold, no dry ice, and there was no service or support offered. I was spoken to as if I were lying about this issue. I asked to speak to someone above the customer service representative and I was told I would have to call back Monday 1/23, that no one else would be calling me back, and that I would have to call to have my concerns addressed. I have video proof of the meals in their arrival state, they do not seem to think a mistake could have been made in their shipping/packaging.
