Generally I love Panda Express and was excited to have one open closer to my home. The recurring pattern I see in this particular store is that they keep running out of items and you have to wait, and they don't always tell you there's a problem. Last night I went in to get two plates and tried to order things that were in stock so I didn't have to wait. What I didn't know was they were already backed up on orders because of running out of items. By the time they got to mine, they used up what I had ordered on the backed up order, but said it would be a few minutes. I waited. When that item appeared, they sidelined my order with no explanation. After a couple of people went by me in the line, I asked what the problem was. They said a second item I had ordered was now also out and it would be 5 to 7 minutes. No one bothered to mention that. I asked them to replace that dish with something else. If I want to wait 20 minutes, I'll go to a sit down restaurant, and the prices will be about the same, thank you very much. I fell like this is a management problem that comes down to the training level. The kitchen can't keep up with the line, and the line isn't communicating with the customer. Come on guys, get that second wok going!
