First time visiting was like, 3 days ago so I've had some time to reflect on the experience; first things first I will say I saw the bad reviews early on about overstaffing and too much interaction, but it persists to be a problem because it seems like they've shoved everyone in the kitchen, they were nearly 20 people in the small to medium sized kitchen(from working in restaurants since I was 13 I can already tell you this is a hazard for both customers and staff), but even with all the people in the kitchen "working" it still took 25 minutes for 2 sandwiches even though there were only 3 groups there, 2 were sat down at the table already eating(both a group of 2) and the other(1 person) ordering at the register like me. Now this one is kind of both a compliment and criticism, the sauces are amazing, BUT, the pictures are deceiving, the chicken patties are extremely thin for $10 a sandwich, they look crispy but the breading is mushy, even on lightly sauced items like the Nashville hot sandwich, overall I can get a buffalo chicken sandwich that's crispier, thicker, and only for $5 from Arby's. The fries were okay, I ordered the Cajun fries so not too sure about the others but the Cajun smells much better than it tastes, which leads me to believe it's mostly just their rosemary fries with some very light Cajun seasoning on them, not even really enough to taste, although they told me at the register that it was a good choice and everyone was going crazy over them, so a little bit over-selly as well in my opinion.
Also I notice this as well, their "signature sauce" is just yum yum sauce from a Japanese steakhouse/hibachi restaurant. Go taste it and tell me it's not now that I've...
Read moreSuperChix delivers when it comes to food quality and cleanliness. The chicken is fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Their menu offers a great variety, and everything tastes like it’s made with care. The dining area is spotless, and the overall atmosphere is inviting and comfortable.
The service is also excellent. The staff is friendly, attentive, and quick to make sure your order is accurate. They clearly care about customer satisfaction, which is appreciated. However, one aspect of the service is a bit off-putting: they consistently ask for reviews. It feels forced and repetitive, which detracts from the overall experience. You want to enjoy your meal without feeling pressured to leave feedback every single time.
Another downside is the pricing. While the food is undeniably high quality, it’s hard to justify how expensive it is. A meal for one can easily cost more than what you’d expect at similar establishments. While I understand you’re paying for quality, the high prices make it less likely that I’ll return often.
Overall, SuperChix is a solid spot for a tasty, high-quality meal in a clean and welcoming environment. If they could ease up on the constant review requests and adjust their pricing a bit, this place would be much more enjoyable. For now, it’s good...
Read moreUpdate: Yesterday, I went to the new location in Alcoa. The gentleman with whom I interacted in the story below recognized me, approached me and apologized. I thought that took courage and humility, and I genuinely appreciated it. Service was much better this time around.
Stopped in with my son right at closing time to grab something to carry out. There were still people in there seated and eating. There was still a guy at the register. And when I got back in my car, my phone said it was 8:59.
Guy at the register waits until we walk up and then says "we're closed. Sorry guys, but we close at 9 and it's (pauses to look at some clock somewhere I guess) 9 and 25 seconds."
No joke. He literally said the number of seconds out loud as if that was actual justification and not just evidence of really terrible customer service.
I get it, you want to go home at the end of the day. But dang, put up a sign that says what time you stop serving or lock the doors or something rather than saying you close at 9 and counting the seconds until you can tell people that you could have helped them 25...
