Custom Perfection and Sweet Surprises at VG’s Bakery – Knoxville, TN We recently had the joy of celebrating our son’s graduation from the University of Tennessee along with his commissioning as a 2LT in the U.S. Army—and VG’s Bakery played a delicious role in making the day extra special! Living five hours away in North Carolina, we were concerned about finding a bakery we could trust for such an important custom cake. We had no need for concern! From the moment we connected with Katie, the General Manager, and Sarah, the Assistant Manager, we knew we were in great hands. They took our vision and turned it into an absolute masterpiece. The decorator captured every detail perfectly - truly bringing our idea to life in a way that exceeded all expectations. When we arrived to pick up the cake, we were instantly drawn to the amazing assortment of baked goods in their display cases. UPDATE 3/21/2023: ** VG's is the BEST bakery in all of Knoxville. You will not be disappointed with any of their products. I have been going there since they opened many many years ago. I frequent the cakes and cupcakes - you will not find a better cake or cupcake anywhere else. The taste is exquisite - very moist, extremely delectable. The taste of the product shines through, without hiding under heavy, over the top sweeteners. I have also tried their breads and scones and cookies - you won't go wrong there either. My earlier review was merely a reflection of not being able to enjoy their wonderful goods, due to my inability to get there when they are open. VG’s was recommended by a friend after I saw her sons amazing birthday cake and asked who made it. My son wanted a Minecraft cake for his party so I emailed the store and they were so easy to work with and very accommodating to my requests. My son requested a chocolate cake with coconut crème frosting. When we picked up the cake my husband and I were stunned at how beautiful and detailed the cake was!
