MISTAKES WERE MADE! I ordered a hotdog with chili and pimento cheese. Amazing. That toasty bun and that wonderful snap of the dog. The nice hot chili contrasting with a cool tangy cheese spread. And oh god. Don’t forget the burger. Double. Smashed. Carolina style. 100% on point. There was not a single open seat in the restaurant, and in all my excitement, I forgot NAPKINS. How can you eat a double burger and dog with no napkins when I knew I’d need at least 5? I pushed through. I hid in the alley. The arches shadows hiding my countenance. I proceed. The first bite of the dog destroyed my coiffed mustache. As a mustachioed fellow, I regretted the first bite, yet my heart urged me forward. In a flash, the dog was a goner. Onward and upward, as they say. I set my sights on the double. The hunch, the bite, the spray of juice and the ooze of cheese. What have I DONE!? I could stop now and get napkins…or I can not put this down. If I don’t drop it, I don’t have to wipe. If you know me, you know I’m going to find THE BEST burger to eat wherever I am and yesterday while visiting Fayetteville with the family I found another amazing place. I googled burgers in Fayetteville and while a bunch of places popped up, this one spoke to my soul. I swear Jesus lead me here.
You fill out a form building your burger and then turn it in to the staff who call it back to you. I got a double burger with cheddar cheese, fried egg, bacon, onions, tomato, lettuce, mayo and siracha with a side of chili cheese fries. The wife got a cheeseburger w/ fries and our little guy got a dog and fries. Hands down the best burger I’ve had in a while. And that’s saying a lot as I eat burgers weekly
The place was packed and still the wait was minimal. It’s a small place with few tables inside or out so I recommend designating someone you’re with to grab a table when one becomes available. If you have to eat this burger standing up, trust me when I say it’s totally worth it.

This place is fantastic! What a lovely little jewel in downtown Fayetteville. Archway is immaculate, so friendly, and best of all EXCELLENT FOOD!! Smash burgers made just the way you want with all the fixins you want. Simply fill out the menu selection form & burgers or hot dogs are served with all the toppings, fixings and extras you want exactly as you want! Their onion rings are to die for by the way. It’s intimate with some additional outdoor seating where it’s fun to watch the parade of people in downtown. With a cleanliness inspection rating of 100, you know this place is serving quality done right. Forgot to take pics of the food but loved the cow painting!! Believe me, you won’t regret stopping by for lunch, dinner or take out. I’ve made my 3rd visit in two weeks & have added Archway Burgers as my new burger hangout!! I’ve been back more times than I count since I first wrote this review!
