This review is only based on my last five visits here throughout the last year or so. I am not a as regular of a customer as I'd like to be, but o want Josh's business to keep soaring. The teas are always amazing. I've had one cocktail and it was one of the best things I've had in a long time. These are my hurdles at winter bloom: I don't feel like I have much control over what I order here. There's no physical menu and we are directed to their website to try and make sense of the ingredients. There are some featured combinations that list ingredients but they give no indication of taste profiles in terms of are they more tart than sweet, earthy, etc. I usually just end up going with whatever they happen to recommend. Maybe a simple menu in the shop that lists two teas under taste categories? Update it once a week perhaps. I'd try to come back weekly if that was the case! Additionally, i don't know if both times this happened were special circumstances but I've stopped by twice in the last year on a weekend during hours they were suppose to be open, but even after fifteen minutes of waiting, the shop did not open at the time that was on th door. Anyways, that's my take for now. If anyone shares in those opinions, I encourage them to mention it. If not not, I've said my peace. Regardless, Winter bloom provides a great product and will continue to...
Read moreThis review is based solely on my customer service experience, as I didn't get to actually try anything. My sister and I visited today, excited to try some of their cocktails. She decided to grab a table, while I stood in line to order. The only available table was dirty, so she asked one of the two employees behind the counter if it could be wiped down. She was given a bone dry yellow microfiber cloth to clean it herself.
She returned to the counter ask if the cloth could be moistened and she was told, "We're really busy. I can't get to it right now." She continued to wait for water and I continued to wait in line. She was then told that she could go to the bathroom and wet the cloth if she wanted.
At that point, we decided to leave. I'm not interested in sipping carefully crafted cocktails at a visibly dirty table, and I find it particularly unsettling that the tables are not being disinfected in between customers, especially during a pandemic.
I understand being busy, but all someone had to say was, "I'll be right with you once I finish helping these customers. Thank you for waiting." Lack of cleanliness aside, the terrible customer service was off-putting, and I can't spend my money in a place that can't even pretend to want...
Read moreUnfortunately my visit to Winterbloom today was disappointing after me and my friends were falsely accused of stealing syrup. We have frequented WT several times in the past year and usually have a lovely time with their welcoming atmosphere, customer engagement, and interactive menu. Yet after briefly reading a label on syrup and putting it back before exiting, we were followed up the street (a minute later) with a worker shouting “you guys have to pay for the syrup you took!” in front of everyone. After we informed her that we have no syrup, she turned around without an apology. If it took her 60 seconds to wait until following us out with us already halfway up the street, I wish she used that time wisely to simply look at the shelf and see the syrup clearly back in its spot. Didn’t know reading labels looked suspicious. I support small business and know workers have a right to protect merchandise, but following us up the road and LOUDLY accusing of stealing was humiliating. Mistakes do happen, I just hope there’s training on how to address people because it was tasteless. The...
