I have been wanting to try this spot for a while now and finally got there with the husband. Wanted to love it but sadly I did not. Got there close to 11:00 and it was about 40 minutes or outside seating. Not a problem because we would have wanted outside seating anyway, it was gorgeous outside. The fellow at the door brought menus out right away. We did not see a server for about 20 minutes. When she came to take our drink order we were ready to order our food. I had the crab cake Bennie and my husband had biscuits and gravy. When our food arrived almost an hour later my husband had asked the server for a little extra gravy….. that never came. When I had finished my meal and my husband was almost done she came to take my plate away and he asked her about the gravy. She said oh I’ll get that….and when he had finished his meal someone else arrived with it. At that time it was wasted gravy. My Bennie was fine but nothing I would order again. It said on the menu it was lump crab which it was not, it was canned crab. The hollandaise sauce was bland. The whole thing needed salt. My husband did say his biscuits were very good. After waiting another 15 or 20 minutes we had to flag down our server so we could pay and leave. We both had black coffee, which for plain old coffee was very good. Though we were not offered more coffee or more water while there. Breakfast is our favorite meal and we go out for breakfast almost every weekend. This is not a place we will go to again. The bill was 54 before the 22% gratuity pre programmed. Mind you my Bennie came with no fruit, no potatoes or anything. I have no problems paying good money for a good meal and we tip well. But this was just too much for “okay” food and bad service. There are so many other places that are great...
Read moreCute and small restaurant, located on Green St. in downtown Fayetteville. Parking is very hard and confusing. There are only 5 street side spaces. You can be easily confused to take the driveway to the right of the building, thinking there is parking in the back, but that is the entrance to the bank's drive through. So, if the 5 street side spots are occupied, you must find paid parking somewhere along Hay St. or even farther away, always paid. If someone is handicapped or cannot walk long distances, this restaurant is not for you, unless someone is dropping them off at the entrance, then go on a little adventure to find parking.
We got lucky to find a table, but they are so crammed in there, so close to each other, that you cannot have a conversation without the next table hearing or you hearing their conversation. We would have sat outside, but it was sprinkling. The menu is quite large for such a small place. I think that might be some of the reason why it took over an hour for our food to come out. For lunch, that is not acceptable. Most people have 30 to 40 minutes for lunch.
I ordered the lox, which comes on 2 hard galettes instead of a bagel. I really disliked the galettes because they were as hard as a rock. The waitress called them naan, but anybody who has eaten naan knows that it if soft and fluffy. The food was visually appealing, but fell flat with the hard galette and complete lack of a drizzle of extra-virgin olive oil on the arugula.

Read moreI had been wanting to eat here for a while. Seen the reviews and really liked the idea and follow through of this restaurant. On a whim my wife and I checked it out. We didn’t have a reservation but still didn’t have to wait, so that was nice. The atmosphere seemed posh and high end, but everything’s served in plastic cups and coffee is served in glass, causing issues with drinks not being warm and cups flying in the breeze, not a great dining experience for the prices they charge. The service would be considered great, but the servers were almost never there, always looked rushed and busy, and simply just wanted to cycle people to the next table. Which is a shame because when she was there our server was excellent. The food was the killer, we waited almost an hour for food and when I got my Bennie’s, the English muffins were burnt, completely blackened on the bottom making them tough to cut and eat. Lucky for them I was so hungry from waiting so long that I devoured it. Meanwhile my wife said her food was okay, but it was oddly under seasoned, only being salted by the cheese. Overall, seriously underwhelming for the prices they charge. I think this place has a lot of potential and would benefit from a little more time to grow before I ever consider...
