My first experience was amazing. I sat at the bar and enjoyed my waitress, which was a gentleman. My second experience was nowhere near what I expected it to be. There was no customer service I was fairly satisfied with my drink that I ordered, which was the same drink that I specifically had made from the first visit. I feel as if they have a desired audience and because I as well as my guest was not within their preference I wasn’t handled as respectfully as the other customers
-and your response as the manager shows the lack of professionalism towards each and every customer. As a manager, you should have apologized for my experience and kept it moving, but now you’re trying to Elaborate for me on why my experience was terrible. It doesn’t change the fact that she was rude when I told her OK she continued to try to get loud with me at my table that I was paying for. In customer service you will get customer who is unhappy and unsatisfied, but that does not mean that you lack off on your level of professionalism when you’re speaking with someone. I did dismiss her because when the conversation was over and she begin to get loud, we no longer needed to speak and I said it wasn’t up for debate. So as I stated before there is a preferred audience . When we came in we were sat down and given water. There were three other tables with Caucasian groups at it. I had to stop my waitress to even come over to ask us if you wanted drinks, they had already been sitting down prior to us arriving, she visited their table over nine times within the timeframe that we walked in and sat down and not one time had we been offered a drink or to order food or appetizers. And that’s why she got no tip. She serviced everyone frequently and made sure that everything was up-to-date and they needed nothing and she came to my table all of three times and that was before dismissing her. So next time you come to defend your workers try understanding the customers who come in your business supporting you. Now,...

You hear about these experiences happening to other people, but we had the misfortune of having the absolute WORST dining experience at Circa 1800. From the time we placed our drink orders, 28 minutes later our waitress comes and announces that they are completely out of all tequila. Another table on our patio place their drink orders and she announces that they are out of that type of liquor. After 20 more minutes, I had to flag her down and place our order already. 1 hour passes after we have put in our food requests and our table still doesn't have a single entrée (see picture.) I flag her down again and ask for a timeframe on our food. She points to four other tables that are ahead of us that are still waiting for their food. The small restaurant was only half full that evening. 1 hour and 15 mins after we have placed our order, my one entrée, comes out to our table of three and the crabcakes are literally raw (see picture) nestled between fried green tomatoes. As we are nearing the end of our meal, the waitress plops two crabcakes on our table out of the blue and mumbles that these are better cooked. The check arrives and a mandatory 20% gratuity charge is tacked on. This restaurant thinks they are ENTITLED to tips! Why have great service when you will get 20% regardless?? Any waitress with eyeballs would never bring out a dish that is so obviously RAW and pass it off as food.
The very mouthy host (tall, husky fella) and the waitress on the evening of October 31, 2016 are a bad fit for this restaurant. The ambience inside is nice and the restaurant could be much better with some tweaking to their organizing and waitstaff. With those mouths and attitudes, the host and waitress are a better fit to work at a diner.
Don't settle for a disappointing experience when there are other restaurants you can take...
Read moreAn amazing brunch location right in the middle of downtown Fayetteville, Circa 1800 had some of best quality and unique food we’ve tried yet.
Circa 1800 is open for brunch only on Saturdays and Sundays, with an exclusive menu for brunch and morning cocktails. They are open for dinners during some week nights and the weekend as well, which I look forward to trying.
We got there around noon on a Sunday, and we had to wait about 45 minutes before being seated. While we waited, we were able to walk the streets of Fayetteville and check out some of the local shops. They took down our seating preference and texted us when the table was ready.
The restaurant was modern, slightly industrial vibe with pops of color from paintings of downtown Fayetteville on the walls. The tables are close together, but not close enough that you feel like you are on top of another party. There’s also outside seating with a street view and patio umbrellas.
I had the brunch punch, which was delicious and topped with a dried pineapple. We got the southern egg rolls, which is one of the appetizer favorites as well according to our server. She said the fried green tomatoes were as well. The egg rolls were unique, filled with collared greens and pimento cheese, and red pepper jelly for dipping, a delicious pairing. We were also given complimentary muffins. For the meal, we both got the monte cristo sandwich, which was cooked perfectly. The sandwich also came with a side of grits and a small tray of fruit.
Our server was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. We saw another meal that was posted on Google, which had steak, potatoes, and eggs, and she confirmed that they had a recent menu change. She anticipated our needs and provided us with extra jelly to take home with our leftovers.
If I could give more than five stars, I would. I know we will be...
