First, we love brunch and were excited to read about cool brunch places in the downtown area. This place was featured in the CityView magazine for great brunch spots, but a day later I am still trying to figure out why. We ate inside because there was a guy with a giant bird he was sitting on people's shoulders while they ate on the patio. Once inside we saw typical bar like decor and a few tables, which was fine because noone was inside. The waitress was nice until she started to explain the brunch items that they don't serve, like eggs, bacon, grits or most anything that is typical at brunch. The menu lacks options and once you ask about adding anything you realize they don't do this and don't cool this. We ordered a croissant that had one slice of bacon on it and an egg (which we were told they don't serve by themselves---so he ate his French toast (very basic tasting) all by itself. Yep--for like $12 bucks he ate 2 slices of French toast and nothing else. The portions felt like a kids menu version of food. The crossiant sandwich (which tasted like my kids could have made it because it was so basic) came with one side, but I paid an upcharge to order hashbrowns. Who can mess up hasbrowns?? Big mistake!! They were a small pile of mush that reminded me of baby food. Overall---just a waste of money for overpriced food that didn't begin to meet even the most basic expectations of brunch. We were so excited to try a new brunch place...and were so disappointed. Not to mention the owner who was featured in the article, so we recognized him, didn't bother to speak to the only customers he had inside the restaurant. Not a hello or how is everything and he was less that 2 feet away throughout most of our meal. Oh well---cross the Blue Moon Cafe off of our list for great brunch spots---and likely any other meal either. They tried and they failed, at least for brunch--I heard the beer is good--just eat...

I seated myself and my two young kids each with happy meals from McDonaldâs (as Blue Moon doesnât have a kids menu or much for picky eaters but my friend wanted to come here). As soon as our waitress came to our table I told her I was waiting on my friend who was parking and that we would be ordering food for ourselves (so that she knew we werenât just randomly sitting on their patio). She then informed me that no outside food is allowed due to âliabilityâ reasons?? Iâm not sure how my 4 and 6 year olds nuggets and fries could be a liabilityâŚI have done this a couple times at other restaurants without kid options and I have never once been told my kids have to go eat their food somewhere else. I was very surprised and disappointed by this experience. She apologized and said she could save the table for us to come back after they eat their meals elsewhere, but I packed up their food to patron another establishment who didnât care about my kids happy meals. If you are going to have these âliabilityâ policies in place, at least maybe have some kid friendly options. I didnât frequent this restaurant much to begin with, but this experience has made me not want to return.
Edited to add: Does this mean your employees need to stop bringing food to eat from other restaurants into your establishment due to these liabilities? Or parents canât give snacks to their infants and toddlers from their diaper bag? Please make...

We had a lovely, albeit very warm, day exploring downtown Fayetteville with our four young children. Our daughters expressed a desire to visit the K-pop shop, while our sons were not as interested. We ultimately decided to find some shade at a table with an umbrella belonging to a restaurant that was not yet open for dinner service.
Following our seating, a staff member promptly informed us of the restaurant's closure until 5:00 PM and requested our departure.
We inquired about the possibility of remaining seated until our party member concluded their visit to the K-pop shop.
The staff member reiterated the need for us to vacate the premises and return at the reopening time.
We acknowledged the directive and indicated our intention to reflect the experience in an online review.
Subsequently, the owner emerged, expressing anticipation for our Yelp review, citing the platform's perceived lack of relevance.
The interaction lacked empathy, as we had hoped for a more understanding response, particularly considering the presence of children and the need for respite from the heat. Instead, the individual's actions were dismissive and mocking.
I would not advise visiting a place that treats people in...
