This place is the bee's knees! I lived right up the road from it so I had the pleasure of being able to eat here fairly often.
The atmosphere in the restaurant is great. It's not overly big or echoey. It's cozy and well decorated and is a comfortable place to eat.
The parking lot is pretty small and does get cramped on busy days.
As for food, the first thing I ever ate here was the spinach-artichoke dip. Holy beans was it good. I had never like spinach artichoke dip in my life, but it was perfect. The consistency of it is perfect and it taste amazing.
The pizza is phenomenal as well. My two favorites were pepperoni and banana pepper pizza (I had never tried banana peppers but thanks to them I discovered that I rather enjoy them) and the margherita pizza. The Margherita pizza is just .... wow. The mozzarella is made in house and the fresh basil and tomatoes taste magical.
The Chicken Geraldi's sandwich is also really good and the tiramisu is delicious.
The entrees are a little pricey if you are a poor college kid. But that shouldn't deter you from the appetizers!
I even ended up working here as a dishwasher until I moved states -- mostly so I could eat their food more often (and help pay bills, ya know). So, from not only a customer perspective, but also an employee working with the other employees, the owners and staff are pretty great and very family oriented! They make you feel at home!
Unfortunately, I moved across the country and no longer get to enjoy that mouth watering food -- it really bums me out sometimes.
To sum it all up awesome place to eat and awesome...
Read moreToday was our (my husband and my) first time eating here and it was great. A hole in the wall Italian restraurant.
The waitress was friendly, the atmosphere is casual, decor is simple and lovely. We had the portobello mushroom ravioli to start (six good size raviolis served with delicious sauce and a large basket of garlic bread and sauce). We almost were filled up with just that.
For the main course I had a calzone with additional toppings/stuffing (chicken, mushroom, black olives, and artichokes) that came with a bowl of sauce. It was huge and delicious! It came with 4 slices, I only ate 1 piece and had to box the rest. My husband had the spaghetti. It was delicious as well. The sauce was meatless but excellent and I always usually prefer meatsauce. You can get meatballs with it and they are a great size (my husband didn't get them, but as we were leaving we saw another customer with some).
We also order a pizza to take home for dinner, Geraldi's "Mama Mia" minus the onions. Everyone at home loved it.
We took dessert home. We got a huge chocolate chip cookie (the girl even went to the back and got a warm gooey one fresh from out of the oven for me!) and a piece of Italian wedding cake.
*On the menu it says they have Coke products, but they actually have Pepsi. They just haven't changed the menu yet. It worked out great for me though cause I'm a Pepsi drinker :) ** The waitress told us that they have a prime rib special on Friday nights that is apparently very popular. It's not on the menu or advertised so I figured I'd let you know :)
Enjoy your meal here....
Read moreI wouldn't recommend driving here because they close early even if you call when you're on your way.
Last night, a SATURDAY btw, we called at 6:45pm and asked when they close. The person said 9pm. We asked if it was family friendly also as we have family in town visiting with kids. They said yes.
Excited we piled into 2 cars and headed down from Bella Vista. We arrived at 8:10pm (if it had been after 8:30 we wouldn't have gone in as I have been a restaurant owner myself and can relate) we noticed the open sign was off but the restaurant was full of diners.
My husband went in to get a couple tables and they told him they were closed BUT we could order take out! We had 8 people! 2 of them are 6 year olds. After we just drove an hour in 2 cars to get there. It gave a very poor impression to my family from out of state, it was their first night in town and we wanted to show the Fayetteville. Very disappointed. We drove all the way back to Bentonville for pizza but what a complete waste of time and gas.
We also were going to spend several hundred dollars, and as a small business owner, I would always seize the opportunity to make new customers and a few hundred dollars rather than close early on a SATURDAY NIGHT WITH A RAZORBACK GAME going on. Clearly your night employees do not care about your business. Hope you...
