I have been in Fayetteville for 2t years and never stopped in here for whatever reason. My grandma is nearly 88 ( 1.5 months ) and wanted to go because she used to go with her friends all the time and eat lunch. She is dealing with stage 4 lung cancer and chemotherapy, so we were trying to let her have a good day and do what ever she wanted and eating an omlette here was on her list so that's where we went. The girl remembered grandma and once learned that she was dealing with cancer told her she could have whatever she wanted. She brought her about a half dozen side dishes that grandma wanted to eat but couldn't eat much of them, so she packed them up to go with her.
The food was GREAT and the service was even better. I can't believe I have been missing out on this local family owned GEM with awesome food for OVER 25 YEARS NOW. I give them 5 stars because that's the max but this was 10 star service that day. They treated my grandma like a QUEEEN and I had to walk outside a few times to catch my breath and dry my eyes because if the thought this may be her last trip to go out and eat with us at one of her favorite spots. I cannot give the staff enough credit for how they made her feel that day. Service above and beyond and that poor girl was hopping she had so many other tables, but made grandma feel like she was the only customer in the place. I needles to say gave her a very good tip and thanked her.
The prices were great and although we spent a lot of money we also bought a lot of food. Great portions for the amount they charge, and the portions that you get are all very well prepared and delicious so it's worth the price for sure.
What an AMAZING experience it was, especially since it was my first trip there. First impressions can't get much better than this. I am a new LOYAL...
Read moreWe were in Fayetteville for an outpatient procedure and decided to have brunch at Lindy’s. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We had eggs, bacon, home fries, bacon cheese omelette and biscuits. I enjoyed my food. The eggs yokes were runny, bacon was extra crispy just as I like them. And home fries cooked just right. The biscuits were flaky and fresh, not like the most of the ones other places serve that taste like a wad of lard in your mouth with the first bite. The only bad thing’s I can say is, My wife had the bacon cheese omelette that looked as flat and hard as if it had been run over by a truck so it came home with us to feed the critters lol. The restrooms were outside and looked like what you find in an old gas station. You know, the kind you don’t want to use but have to lol. And an employee spent her break smoking in the ladies room so it was thick with cigarette smoke when my wife went in. Which made her eyes burn having just had cataract surgery hours before. I told my wife “it looks like an old A&W drive in” and upon reaching my review, I discovered IT IS! It was built in 1963 and is on the historic registry. Lindy’s brought back fond memories from my childhood. Which is why I gave it 5 stars for atmosphere. And I hope it gets the much needed renovation it deserves without changing its historic ambience. We recommend you visit this landmark, but don’t order a...
Read moreI definitely get the nostalgia people get eating here. I'm not from Fayetteville originally but can appreciate local businesses, esp if they've been around a long time. Walking in the place is small and bustling, we were acknowledged pretty quickly, considering that place was packed. I'd say we waited 5 minutes for a booth to open up. Our waitress was very nice and took our drink order when we sat down. I felt rushed but it was just the atmosphere. I ordered the Western omelette, home fries, biscuit and a small order of grits ( I wanted just a taste). My friend ordered hotcakes, bacon and grits. Our food in my opinion came quickly in my mind so that was good. I was a little disappointed on the omelette, I'm just gonna post a picture and let you decided. It tasted good but I just wanted more filling and the cheese was a processed slice of american, maybe that was said on the menu and I just missed it. The home fries were tasty but I personally don't like my potatos deep fried (they seemed deep fried and greasy) again maybe that other people's liking and that fine! It just wasn't my cup of tea.. However, the grits were great, the biscuit was good and I really enjoyed the tea. My friends plate looked fantastic. Big ol' hotcakes, great slices of bacon (not pictured) and grits. I'm definitely trying those the next time I visit. I also like that it was affordable considering...
