Wood Stone in Fayetteville will always be one of my all-time favorites. The Korean BBQ pizza and the Caesar Salad are a MUST try !! #fayettevillearkansas #fayetteville #thingstodoinnwa #fayettevillear #woodstonepizza

First time here on a Sunday night. It was pretty empty, but they had the NFL games on so I sat at the bar. The bartender was attentive and very nice and helped me to order. I got the Wedge salad and it was excellent! Fresh Bleu cheese, walnuts, and house cured bacon chunks (lardons). And it was huge (enough for 2, but I was hungry). All of the pizzas sounded so good I couldn't decide and then the bartender told me I could do half and half of any specialty pizza. I tried the T.H.I.S.S. and the Fall Harvest. Both were very good. It came out very fast and the crust was some of the best I've ever had. Of the 2, I liked the T.H.I.S.S. better (prosciutto, balsamic, fresh mozz, and arugula). The non-alcoholic sasparilla cream soda was really good too. If you're a drinker they had a great selection of beer, wine, and cocktails. Very spacious, comfortable atmosphere with a 4 season patio and a big outdoor seating area too. I will definitely be back to try more of the delicious sounding pizzas.

Wood Stone was decent, but I had hopes that it would be better. While the menu had several items that sounded really tasty, something was lost in the execution. The Kale Artichoke Dip, while fine, was lumpy -- presumably with pieces of kale and artichoke but the base was watery. Delivered with a garlic toast, this made for a less than easy spread/dip and caused me to eat less of it than I wanted. And the pizza wasn't very hot. Hot pizza is so much better than warm, especially when the pizza cools on your table rack -- so starting out as warm means cold pizza by your third or even second slice. Would I eat hear again? Yes, if I was staying nearby, which I was. Would I recommend that someone visiting Fayetteville go out of their way to try? Probably not. But this doesn't make it a bad place and, given the alternatives, is perfectly acceptable.

Atmosphere: Wood Stone Craft Pizza is a great sit down pizza place. The decor and lighting set a great ambiance for those who want to have a nice lunch or dinner date.

Service: Sadly, the service was lacking the night we went with no one stopping by our table for even a drink order. After about 15 minutes of still no service I headed up to the desk and asked about the status of a server. The hostess apologized and found someone to take our order. The restaurant definitely made up the time and got both our appetizer and main courses out fast, but the server only checked up on us once while we noticed he had made rounds to the other tables he was servicing around us.

Food: We ordered the meatballs which ended up being bigger than anticipated! The meatballs themselves had little flavor, however their marinara sauce was amazing and complimented the generous amount of cheese on meatballs. Moving onto the pizza, the crust was nice and crispy with a perfect balance of cheese and sauce sitting on top. I noticed on their menu that they locally source their ingredients and you could really tell with the blackened chicken and even the pepperoni.

Price point: I’ve eaten at a few different pizza restaurants that offer the same menu model and noticed the pizza is priced a little higher at $12 for a 8” pizza and around $15-$17 for a 12” pizza. The meatball plate was priced at $12 for three big meatballs.

Quality: You can tell that there is care in each dish that the kitchen produces a good spin on classic...

Overlooked on wait list, inattentiveness from server, wrong order, mismanagement

Not one to complain, but this experience was not good from start to finish. We were a party of 2 and called ahead on a Saturday to see if we can be put on a wait list ahead of time, but can't. Fine. Get there and be put on the list to wait 30-40 minutes. Waited 40 minutes and watched 2 groups of less than 4 come in after us and get sat before us. Walked in and asked hostess how much longer only to find out that we were skipped twice. We were sat at a table and after ordering drinks it took 20 minutes and asking another server to find our server to place a food order. Waited a while, the beet salad came out first and was underwhelming. Waited longer, then received our 2 pizzas which low and behold were wrong. One was completely wrong and the other missing one added ingredient we requested. At that point we decided it was best to let the manager know our experience. Asked to just have the pizza boxed up and our meal comped so we could leave. He returns with two to-go boxes, a check for the drinks we had ordered while there (2 beer and a soda), and excuses for why we had a bad experience. I don't care what went wrong, but the manager should have just accept responsibilty for what happened, comped everything, and welcomed us to try them again in the future. However, we received nothing positive from our visit and won't return. Also, the pizza was...

The waitstaff definitely deserves a 5/5. Unfortunately, the kitchen had made us a par-cooked pizza. The Ozarkansas has too many toppings that their "house sausage" not only tasted rancid? but it didn't look done. The edges were crispy just like the cheesy bread I got so it looked fine. When I first ate a slice I thought something was off but I was hungry enough to need to eat. However after the second slice I regretted it. I can't get the taste out of my head it was pretty gross. I should have sent it back but I was very tired and did not want to have to wait for another one. The cheesy bread was amazing and so were the sauces. It was my first time there, quite possibly my last for a little while. Hopefully my next visit will be different and if so, I'd be happy to adjust my rating later.

I had to add/edit this because I honestly should have read all the past reviews. It seems my pizza being undercooked wasn't the only pizza, looks like others also had undercooked pizzas. This is DANGEROUS.

Management needs to work on addressing what seems to be more than one issue. Just a matter of time before something like that can be the cause of whether Woodstone Pizza will survive or not.

For now, I do not recommend this place. If you want CONSISTENTLY GREAT wood fired pizza- Go to MJ's or ZaZa's. Za's is 2-3 hours away from me, but because of how CONSISTENT they are, I'm happy to drive that far to treat myself to...
