Pop's Pizza & Pasta — Restaurant in Federal Way

Pop's Pizza & Pasta was not known to me until several weeks ago in 2012...I've not been to their place, so I can't rate their Decor. (Well they have NONE...Delivery/pickup location only.) Fast service. If mistakes are made they fix it right away! And COME BACK WITH CORRECTED FOOD ORDER. very rarely happens. My fault twice! I was staying at a local hotel in Federal Way, WA, not far from the restaurant, and found them on the internet, trying to find other than my favorite Pizza Hut and other greasy spoons... Although Mario's people are hurting a little to be understood because of language accents, that does not hurt their customer service. The first time I ordered, my delivery for the mile and 1/2 away delievery from their store didn't take too long... I ordered a pizza with Italian Sausage and Gyro Meat! Cheesy and cooked just right medium pie came, and so did an order of Garlic Bread I asked for, and several cans of pop. But the surprise, to build his business, and to gain recognition with the staff of the HOTEL, he brought them garlic bread and a small cheese pizza! The staff was not only surprised, but HUNGRY too! The following three times, I ordered pizza repeating my first order with them, then pasta....spaghetti with Bolognese and then added Meat Balls, (5) the next time. I also ordered the Italian dressing on house small salads which were included, or I could get a caesar. He brought the order, but I was so busy with other things around me, I forgot to check the side order of Gyro meat I ordered.... In about 10 mins! My driver was back and handed me another metalic togo box and then I understood when I opened it to see my forgotten gyro meat inside, hot and ready to serve. It was excellant to use on my first time order of the Bolognese Spaghetti, as I didn't see the area where you could order meat balls... SO, whew! How'd it taste... EXCELLENT! 4 out of 4 trys were excellant! I've since recommended the place to others that want dinner from them or a noon time snack! Mario left off about 50 menu's for behind the counter so the staff could recommend the company... although the Hotel has an evening weekday only resturant, the rest of the time... I get hungry if I don't have anything in that refridgerator in my room... Give them a try... Be fore warn tho, they don't skimp on the cheese! VERY Heavy, but excellent taste and good service. My husband was craving some pasta so we decided to give Pop's another try and we shouldn't have. We ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, the Tortellini Alfredo la Rosa and garlic bread. So Pop's has a four cheese baked spaghetti on the menu so my husband asked if we could get the pastas baked not knowing that he would have to specify with cheese because we've never had to before. They said they didn't usually do that but they would which we absolutely appreciated but they could have said no and we would have ordered from somewhere else. It's probably our fault for assuming that people would know that when baked is requested it means with cheese but that is not the case. My Alfredo is bland, absolutely no signs of flavour but the noodles are cooked well and my husband likes his torellini but there is definitely zero cheese involved in these pastas they're just dry in top from being baked. The garlic bread was underdone and not the best flavour either. We won't be trying our luck again especially at $44

I can understand why people like this place it's just not for me. I ordered delivery the other night and was disappointed in my pizza. The toppings come under the cheese which I knew before I ordered but I forgot what this means for pizza quality. When the toppings are under the cheese nothing gets properly cooked or picks up that delicious roasted flavour so it was kind of bland except for the flavour of pizza sauce and uncooked deli meat. I got pepperoni and mushrooms and the mushrooms were wet and the pepperoni had an overwhelming raw pepperoni flavour which was unpleasant. The pizza crust was also undercooked, barely any brown on the bottom so it was floppy and it was a lot thinner than I was expecting for a pizza that isn't advertised to be a thin crust pizza. The sauce is extremely acidic and there was too much of it on the pizza. On the plus side the crust had a nice flavour. The pizza here is also overpriced on all delivery apps so I recommend ordering from this location directly. $25 for a medium pizza with only 6 slices was a hard...

This place makes exceptional food! I have been undergoing chemo and have had issues tasting food for a week now. As soon as some of my taste came back, I decided to treat myself. I was really craving pizza and wanted more than Dominos or pizza hut. Researched places in federal way and came upon this hole in the wall that had great reviews. I was skeptical after seeing the higher prices but it was BEYOND worth the price! We got a Alfredo pasta and a large pepperoni pizza. The pasta was delicious but the pizza will keep me coming back. That was the best pizza I have had in a VERY long time. Every bite had me, my wife, and my 4 year old son wanting more! My wife is someone who will have 1 or two pieces and she ate 4 and made herself almost miserably full it was so good. I don't review food often but this place deserves it. It was so good we already came back the next day to try their sandwiches and will most likely be coming back every day this week to test everything on this menu. If you live in or near federal way and want pizza, look no further! This is the best pizza in federal way and it's not even close!! My tip of the cap to your chef!
