My little brother came home with donuts from this place this morning. He was informed from work that they had great donuts. Bakeries and donut shops are my specialty in every city I visit. I like to try them out and give reviews. From what I gather, this is a chain donut place that explains why it's not very good. My brother knows I like apple fritters and cherry turnovers, so he picked them up for me. Now, in our neighborhood, we have local donut shops with donuts made fresh every day. These donuts weren't fresh at all. Sorry to say, I actually threw the cherry turnover away. The apple fritter wasn't too bad except I really couldn't find any apple. It was more cinnamon than anything. Ok, the cherry turnover was really sad. The icing was hard, which says it's old, not fresh. Now the cherry filling which barely existed and the cherries looked old, so I was afraid to even go any further lest I get sick. Would I recommend this place not on my watch! I understand a chain donut store doesn't get that people expect fresh donuts along with the food being edible. I'm not sure who owns this franchise, but you need to take a look at it and try some of your offerings to the public as it's not...
Read moreMy usual Monday morning donut stop was unexpectedly closed, so I hopped on the highway and came to Fenton looking for my fix. It was well worth the drive!
I'm typically more of a fan of glazed donuts vs iced ones, but the icing at this shop is really good! The maple bacon donut was the very best of that variety I've ever had. The maple icing was sweet and delicious, and the donut had a generous amount of bacon crumbles on it. It is phenomenal! Do yourself a favor and get two if they have them when you go. You won't be sorry. The carmel iced cinnamon roll was also excellent thanks to that icing.
All of the donuts I had from this shop were delicious. Other highlights were the glazed devil's food cake donut, the carmel pecan Danish, the chocolate coconut cake donut, and the chocolate sprinkled long John. Like I said, I'm usually not a big icing guy, but I wish I had gotten more iced donuts here. It was so good!
10/10, really good donuts! I'll definitely...
Read moreIf you believe that Fenton is God’s country then this is your donut shop! But for the rest of us who will cross the rivers and travel to various exotic places, like Kirkwood, South city, etc. You will find this donut shop sadly lacking and over priced. I have brought these donuts numerous times to work and had people complain about the glaze on the donuts being too thick. It is. I have also gone there on more than one occasion before 7 am to get bacon maple donuts only for them to be out of this donut. The final insult is the fact that they give you a credit card charge. So not only are they overpriced but they charge you a fee for using your credit card and don’t advise you of it. I was there today and bought four donuts for $7.50, this will be the last time I ever darken their door. If you want some of the best donuts in town try Donut Drive-in on...
