The waitress was pleasant. The food was just good. Not bad but also not anything I’d be like omg you should go eat this it was so good. It had flavor and it was cooked correctly. It did take a little long to get based on the simple things we ordered but ok. My low rating is due to pricing. I didn’t read the whole menu and my kids are teens so I don’t order for them so I wasn’t reading the description of what they got. There were 4 of us. The 7 year old got a plain pancake that came with a side of fruit. One teen also got just a plain pancake and they asked if she wanted bacon or sausage and she got the sausage. The other got a scrambled egg breakfast burrito. The teens got a tea and the 7 year old lemonade. I got the avocado toast which was a singular piece of toast with an avocado mashed on top and little bit of feta sprinkled on and a little side sauce dish of chopped tomatoes and onion which was 8.00. I thought it was pricey just for the one piece of toast. But what topped it off was to find out my daughter’s plain pancake was 12.00 and that the sausage that she thought came with it didn’t. The 2 little sausage links, that were clearly just pre frozen links, were 6.00. 3.00 per link and didn’t come with the pancake at all. So 18.00 for her 1 plain pancake and 2 little sausage links. And on top of that the lemonade was 3.00 (which was high for the size but I’d even expect that) and the teas were 3.95 each for tall skinny glasses that may hold 10 oz of liquid after all the ice. I’ve lived my whole life in the south on sweet tea and have never paid 4.00 a cup for it anywhere, not even when we’ve gone to upscale restaurants . It doesn’t even cost 4.00 to make a gallon of tea. And the girls didn’t even like the tea, they said it tasted off like peach or something when it was supposed to be just plain tea. I understand about inflation and it’s hitting all of us but it definitely wasn’t worth the 65 and change pre tip that the bill came to for 1 piece of toast with an avocado smashed on it, 1 kids pancake, 1 adult pancake, 2 sausage links, 1 egg breakfast burrito, 1 lemonade and 2 teas. We won’t be back. It most definitely wasn’t worth the money we spent on...

While I appreciate the work your bread maker does, there is no need for management to be condescending when replying to my opinion, which I'm entitled to. I understand the potential health benefits and extra cost of unbleached, unenriched flour, so please spare me the lecture. Additionally, I bake bread myself at home recreationally, and I understand it is time consuming and hard work. I never doubted the quality of the product, but IN MY OPINION it is not worth the price being charged. As the consumer, I determine the value by what I'm willing to pay. That is economics and business 101. If the remainder of your customer base disagrees, so be it as they're entitled to their opinion, and I'm clearly not your target customer. I'm sorry if you and your bread maker are "triggered", but it sounds like you both need to grow up and show some professionalism when running a business. I don't need to be villainized because I value my money as much as your bread maker and act like I'm stealing food from his mouth. I also have a job and work hard. Your response is ridiculous and one of the rudest interactions I've had with a business over a review, nevermind a good one at that. Good luck with everything, but you need to get some thicker skin and a better attitude.
We came for breakfast/brunch and ordered the breakfast BLT and French Toast. The food was great, and I really enjoyed the lemon aioli on the BLT. My wife loved the potatoes that came with the BLT.
The service was exceptional, as was the atmosphere. There was ample garden outdoor seating with patio heaters and some seating inside.
The experience and food were great, but our only complaint were the prices. They were exorbitantly high, even for premium breakfast foods. The French Toast was $16 and included nothing else. The BLT was $17. Juices were $5 a glass but didn't seem fresh squeezed. It should be noted the portions were generous, but they probably should have been more appropriately priced $2-3 less, which is what we'd expect to pay for a high...
Read moreExcited to experience the “best French toast” on Amelia Island. After waiting for a table for 40min, and witnessing extremely poor discussions between front of the house and the hostess about patrons inside the building, we were happy to be seated.
The waiter was pleasant, and took our order right away. He did stipe by our table again after approximately 45min stating our food was the next order coming out of the kitchen.(1 omelette as listed, no substitutions, and 2 French toast with sausage links, water and coffee). My coffee was refreshed once and the water glasses were not refilled.
We waited 75 minutes for our food to be delivered from the time of order placement. Daughter stated the omelette was “fine” but a bit cold. She did not receive her side order of fruit . Son and I had the WORST French toast ever. The bread was so dry it was hard to swallow even doused in 2 servings of syrup. The side order of my blueberries and sliced strawberries were fresh and sweet. The color of the cooked challah was lovely, however, there was no egg mixture soaked into the stale bread prior to toasting it. Again, it felt like we ate sand for breakfast. The lack of available water/coffee to help wash it down only contributed to the difficulty.
The convert house was a cute venue, and there a patio outside that appeared partially occupied.
The number of waitstaff appeared acceptable to the number of tables inside. Not sure what was going on in the kitchen.
Front of house staff was not seen in the dining room checking in on patrons or with their staff for the duration of our substandard meal.
While the waiter appeared to be a victim of kitchen timing, not refilling beverages, or double checking orders were complete (after finally receiving plates) were his short comings.
Very disappointed.
