I am changing our rating of this particular Jersey Mike's. We have visited this site this store several times and found the service was great.
Not so much today!
We came in to order 2 minis and a regular to take home. As I was paying my wife was telling the crew what we wanted. One mini Mike's way one with mayo , lettuce and tomato. The regular a club with no onions and no tomato and not Mike's Way.
So as I am paying and I hear the person preparing the sandwiches ask are there any Mike's Way? My wife said one of the minis. When it came to the club again he asked if it was Mike's Way? My wife implied with an emphatic no. Then added no onion or tomato.
He then went ahead and strated to put oil and vinegar on it. My wife said she asked him not to fix it Mike's way. He then proceeded to take of the lettuce leaving the oil and vinegar. My wife advised that the sandwich was for our son and he would not eat it that way.
That is when things turned. Instead of admitting he made a mistake and just staring over some of the crew jumped to his defense (admiralable). However they accused my wife of not knowing there system. They said that all the sandwiches are made Mike's Way unless they are told otherwise and she had told him no onions and no tomatoes placing her in the position to apologize by saying I'm sorry I don't know your system. Finally the person said she would take the sandwich and another woman cleaning the slicer she would start a new one. Both of us clearly angry by now. Said thanks and my wife upset took her sandwich as I made sure they made it correctly and again I advised it was to go.
The guy making the sandwich begrudgingly made it and I said thanks.
This didn't have to go this way. Yes there was a mistake made and yes the crew came to his defense. However there was no need to make my wife feel bad.
Part of customer service is about listening and being able to admit the mistake. Which happens sometimes. Listening is also a key factor and making sure by repeating the order back does help.
I really believe in giving a person the benefit of the doubt as it were.
However Customer Service is not about making the customer feel bad or arguing with them.
It will be quite some time before we go back to this store.
We are quite happy to go to the new store in Federal Way. Where they are...
Read moreI was trying to call 8n an order around 6:40;pm tonight. Phone must have rung 50btimes, no answer. Drive over there, 1 customer waiting on her order, 1 male worker sitting down watching the game and the female worker wandering behind the counter. I start to place my order but the female walked to the male & started telling him that he was going to make my order. They were out of tuna and white bread! Mind you this was at 7:00 pm!! How does that happen? Then they are getting ready to start our sandwiches. The female complained that she had to make 2 steak sandwiches now. I commented & said yes but one has mushrooms added. As I was speaking, she waived me off!!! WTH? While waiting for our food, my daughter had to use the restroom so I walked her over to the restroom & I went back out to the counter to wait for food. The female was wrapping up our sandwiches and I merely asked her if she added the pickles? She answered me with a very irritated sound and grunt. Slid the bag to me and walked away. I will NEVER go back to this location. It's on my way home from work but I'd rather go a different direction and pick up a sandwich for another location. The sandwiches were horrible! Dry..and no flavor. Would call to speak to the manager but from reading posts earlier it looks like the manager disregards the customers anyhow. I don't feel like aggravating...
Read moreI have to say that I love jeresy mikes as a company, there food has always surpassed any other sub restaurant (Jimmy John, subway or even Quizno) I have ever been to, the #13 is my favorite go to sandwich. this location, needs to get it together, the wait times are borderline horrible, and the only reason I say that is because I know that the other 2 locations in the Tacoma area,(the one in Lakewood and university place) has probably even more of a reason to be slower but they manage to get it done... I don't understand how you could call in an order or order online and it takes me 20 mins to get to the location, and the order is still not done making you have to wait another 5 to 10 mins. I would probably have to say that's there are lot of young people working there and I'm not faulting that or saying that's the cause of the issues here, hey we all had to start somewhere.in life.. i would probably recommend them to be trained by one of the other stores, maybe even hire more people at this location, most folks don't have 45 mins to wait on a cold sub order enough of the negative. on a positive note the staff is friendly and helpful, willing to correct mistakes, there is always room for improvement and growth. But that's with...
