We had been told by several people we needed to try this place. Reviews looked decent, building looked like a place a person could enjoy themselves and have a good time. Well the atmosphere seemed OK. Not very many people inside but still waited 5 min for the hostess to figure out where she was seating us! We noticed while waiting the untuned stereo playing. We hoped somebody would clear that up. Finally the hostess came and got us and took us to a table in the middle of the room where it looked like they were seating everyone to one side of the reasturant. Being conscious to my wifes higher than normal anxiety today I kindly asked the hostess lady if we could sit in a booth please. That seemed to aggravate the hostess, just noticed body language spoke loudly. Then we were sat clear on the other side of the reasturant by ourselves. But not a problem for my wife and I we had a great conversation and met another couple that stopped by to day hi. We orded. The Brussel Sprouts were tasty. BTW even after mentioning the radio after about 20 mins the radio was still cutting in and out. Then we got our food. Looked appetizing and tasty. Well at least it looked that way. However for the price I was a little disappointed in seeing a frozen patty pre made burger. No flavor, no salt, no good burger texture. McDonald's has better flavor in there patties than this place. Tomatoes were not close to ripe. And shredded lettuce which I have never been a fan of, especially on a premium price burger. The waffle fries were cooked perfectly, the unsweetened tea was good. By the end of the meal the the radio was still cutting up. And my western burger and my wifes Cheese head did not impress us. We may come back with friends, or might comeback to try other foods on the menu, we just thought with a name like "burger bar" we would find a great burger. Sadly not. Our server was nice but we had to ask for refills after her 3rd time at the table and glasses empty. Charming place, looks like a fun place, but the burger let me down. We even came from about an hour away to be disappointed. It was...
Read moreThere are not enough stars to express my delight. We are there on a whim trying something new and found Findlay's best kept secret. Our first stop we had the nachos named after the restaurant Beckett's Nachos. I was skeptical putting your name on something trivial like an appetizer kinda sets precedence. Well let me tell you it did not disappoint. They nailed it. Then as our main dish we had the chicken avocado wrap and completely blown away. We left completely satisfied and stuffed. The service was tremendous, Amanda, was there when we needed her and didn't crowd us or make it uncomfortable. Top notch! I'm kinda picky on that .... {Men's room was worthy of a set down if needed, I know that seems silly to point out but it's rare} We returned the following day thinking we may have found "our" place but also to see if it was beginners luck. It was once again amazing. The open faced slow roast beef aka Manhattan was killer and the Chicken Bacon ranch flatbread worth it's weight in gold. Once again Amanda so happy to experience this with you as a server.
Wrapping up, this place is called Beckett's Burger Bar, I've yet to have a Burger....? It will happen but I'm 💯 it's going to be great. P.s. They serve alcohol to men and sports is on television. Once again that bathroom see the pic all men know this is a reason to take a restroom pic WOW 😲 BRAVO Becketts! We hope you don't leave us and maintain this level of perfection it's truly not the usual, you...
Read moreArrived at 1:30 and was told there was an hour wait. Didn't get seated for almost 1 hour and 45 minutes. Right after we got seated, a table got seated right after us that was only there for 20 minutes. The server took their drink orders while we sat there and waited for her to get ours for another 10 minutes. About after another 20 we finally placed our actual orders and waited and waited. The server came and told us the kitchen was really busy but when our food came out you could tell it had been sitting, my wife's fries were cold and my top bun to my burger was almost ice cold, my father-in-laws girlfriends sandwich clearly had been sitting for awhile, her bun was super soggy with burger grease and she did not eat a burger. The service was the worst part of the experience though by far. We hardly ever seen the server, sat with empty drinks for probably a half hour. Spent almost 3 hours there and was not pleased at all. The server got an attitude when I told her how our experience was and tried claiming she was very busy even though all her other tables had their food, got their checks and left before we even got our check. Will not be back, not worth the...
