Okay we gave it another try! How did my favorite restaurant change its recipes and increase its prices for food I no longer like. The hashbrown casserole is watered down and flavorless, the biscuits are hard and cold I won’t get into the details of how greasy some items taste.
CB was our go to weekly, however now we question whether we should ever go back. Improve the quality teach your cooking staff. You painted and rid the character of this once wonderful hangout but now it’s a matter of taste and variety. Not everyone likes spicy, greasy or eats meat. The menu reflects more chicken than anything else. Trust me when I say quality, flavor and service will always save a business not just your name

less than a month ago we had a wonderful experience however our visit Monday Evening approximately 6 pm was disappointing. Im the first to understand costs but the shortcuts in your recipes were not acceptable. My favorite was always the hash brown casserole. It tasted like watered down potatoes with color, the pancakes were thin and hard and the sausage overcooked. Sadly known for the best coffee it too was like hot water reboiled through grounds.
Through the many different states and Cracker Barrel’s we visited the location at 96th and Hwy 69 was always superior in every aspect until now.
We even told the cashier who didn’t seem to care We realize he has little control of the kitchen however we paid a hefty price for a meal that made us both ill. With so many places to choose from we chose CB and we are disappointed with the careless delivery of food and quality.
Your company has been suffering from lack of business and this is why.
A company is only as good as its product and service. CB fell very short in all these areas.
I rated you at the highest possible not a few years ago but now I think twice about visiting again
Menu improvement is indeed detrimental as some Of us DONT or Can’t eat large portions yet your overcharging for basically a child’s meal which you used to allow. Customizable meals are fine but still don’t afford individual choices for specific dietary restrictions
I am saddened that I write this and positive I’m not the only person who feels this way.
There is a saying that states “don’t fix what’s not broken “. Be a leader in the industry not the followers who increase costs and decrease quality and service. Its going down...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would and this is due to a recent visit from March 1 2024 around 1:30pm . I entered the facility with two of my friends and my daughter for lunch and was given a server who was very distant and seemed as if she really didn’t wanna work , which I just assumed she was maybe having a bad day as that is normal and everybody has bad days , but once we began to order conversation was really short and her responses were “ ummhmm “ and that’s it until it was my turn to order and I wanted the bone in fried chicken but I explained to her I wanted to customize it before I could even tell her the customization she said “ we are not able to customize or substitute anything “ I then responded well I wanted to see if I could have just legs and wings because I’m not a fan of the bigger pieces and responded again we do not customize or do any substitutes on anything so I then requested to speak with a manager a guy with a apron on approached who I thought was the manager and he didn’t greet himself he straight walked up and said “ what’s the issue “ so I explained to him I wanted to order the bone in fried chicken but I’m not a fan of the larger pieces and wanted to just get maybe the wings and legs he then advised me that they are not a chicken spot and if I wanted chicken then I should go to a chicken spot . Now I am not the type of person who searches and finds reasons to believe that I am being racially profiled but that comment alone made me very uncomfortable as I am 26 years old and know exactly where I am choosing to eat I immediately advised them that’s okay i won’t be ordering anything and my two friends were so disgusted and decided they were not either so we got up and proceeded to leave as we were leaving a get with a yellow button up told us to “ have a good day “ and my friend advise that was the manager and not the guys that came out and spoke to me with the apron on . I will be pushing this interaction further and try to get in contact with corporate about this as today I still woke up disgusted by the experience I’ve never felt the feeling of being racially profile until this incident and it is not a pleasant feeling at all and will probably stick with me for the rest...
Read moreWe placed an order today for curbside pick-up. Upon arrival, we used the app to check in for our food to be brought out. After 20 minutes, I called to see how much longer it would be until our food was brought out and I was told, "We're really slammed, can you walk in and get it? If you can't then we'll bring it out to you.". I told the girl I would go in and get my order.
After going to the counter, I told the girl how long we had been waiting and that I was asked to go in to pick up my curbside order. She walked over to a shelving unit they pit orders on, grabbed a bag, and then brought it over to me. She said, "You can check it if you want". I said I was worried if the food was still hot. She said "sorry" and walked back to the register.
While on my way home, I called and asked to speak to a manager. After being on hold for about 2 minutes someone answered and I then again had to ask to speak with a manager. The lady on the phone said "Oh, you're the one" and then started apologizing saying the manager was too busy working on the line". I was asked if it was something she could help with and I told her the issue and then said I would just send my complaint to them.
Last but not least, after getting home, we opened up the containers to find one of the meals was wrong. My wife ordered Chicken fried chicken and the meat was actually something else.. I don't know what it is but it's definitely not chicken (see attached picture) and I'm now leaving again to go get food somewhere else.
We're polite customers and I was going to give the worker a $5 for delivering our "curbside" order (that I guess they don't even really offer) but it will probably be a long time away if we end up even going back to...
