The Food... the SHOWER! This was a surprisingly nice hotel. The location was convenient (especially with a Walmart nearby but not so close that you felt like you were in their parking lot. The entrance was inviting with lots of places to sit. The food at the restaurant was way better than expected. I mean, it was actually really good. The rooms were clean and comfortable but the biggest plus was the shower. I uploaded a photo so you understand. There's nothing worse than these glass showers where the doors open on the opposite side of the where the shower nob is. Typically, you have to reach through and turn it on and get all wet with cold water but this one FINALLY has got it right. I didn't have to freeze or get scolded before I moved in and closed the door. Good job. For the price, this was better than expected. I'm glad we chose to stay here.

Came up with the husband on work business, I worked from the room remotely. Nice area, plently of restaurants to choose from and some small shopping stores around. Walmart is right behind the hotel. Hotel was clean breakfest you had to buy but it was a great price mostly if you get the buffet it comes with whatever you order from the grill. Little marketplace there as well if you wanted a snack but we just went to the walmart and grabbed anything. We relaxed in the hottub almost every night after eating out. Room was nice, clean, and updated. Fridge was a bit weird as it had a 2 hour chill button and a 8 hour snooze button you had to keep pushing but other than that it was great. If you wanted housekeeping or new towels you did have to call down and request it but it was nice to be undisturbed and keeping any "exposure" down.

Front desk staff were courteous and helpful. Accommodations were substandard for the room rate charged. Small inconspicuous sign stating there was a charge for breakfast (something most hotels include for free). I'm not accustomed to paying $10.95 for a coffee and cinnamon roll. Large crack in bathroom sink, paint peeling in shower area, mildew behind toilet, no freezer in room refrigerator. And to add insult to injury, my medications were stolen from the room. This was my first stay at a Hilton, and may well be my last.

Place was very clean spotless nice place overall nice pool nice rooms couple things that caught me off guard though I don’t know what confusion they had in there end we called made a reservation the lady on the phone asked me if my mommy was around to answer the phone said I sounded like a baby … I am a mother myself … like srsly if I’m calling to book a hotel you think I’m 10… and then around 11 the next day the day of our reservation I called asked when the room would be ready she said around 3 most likely a little early because house keeping would be there early same lady 1:45 we went in and she said your room should be ready really soon we where like okay that’s nice usually it’s not until after 3 so we went back in 30 min later she said it’s not ready yet wait another 30 min again back in it’s not 2:45 she said exactly at 3 it will be ready went back in at 3 she said it’s not ready yet sorry so we left went to eat came back it was 3:40 she said “be patient it is not ready yet. SHE SAID 3 then said it’ll be ready early then back and fourth game she was very rude had no patience then when my fiancé went in again she completely ignored me and said just one person right he said no and she put one down instead of 2 it’s crazy I’ve never had someone so rude and disrespectful and for anyone wanting to know her name was mary never had such disrespect from a woman calling me a child she could have just said after 3 instead of playing the back and fourth game she told us to be early cause the room would be ready early she should have just been nice and said just to be on the safe side our check in time is at 3 other then that it was great after she left there was a male working I didn’t catch his name but he was super nice respectful and told us that our room had been ready for a while … and we can come check in so thank you to him it was him and another woman best service I’ve ever had came from those two but to find out our room had been ready “for a while now” is ridiculous but at the end we had very great service this was all on Saturday March 11th is when we checked in so the female and male working at the desk at 4:00 where absolutely great and deserve a raise Mary...

My wife and I were coming down from Fort Wayne for a concert at Ruoff and had decided to stay at this location. We had booked online through a 3rd party website and paid ahead of time. We knew ahead of time that we would have to put a card on file for incidentals, which we thought we did when we arrived. We didn't find out until later that night that the counter person actually billed us for the whole room again. Also, we were told at check in that breakfast was included between 6 and 10 am the next morning. After going up to our room on check in we discovered the remote did not work for the TV so I went back down to the desk. The lady at the desk was trying to be helpful and called over another guy, who instantly treated me like I was dumb and asked if I was pushing the right buttons. I calmly explained that yes, I understand how to use a remote... he then proceeded to blame it on the batteries and told me to go back up to the room, he would bring the remote right up. So after waiting in the room for almost 45 minutes (mind you, we were ready to leave and not just sit in the room waiting on someone), my wife and I decided to just head back downstairs and let them know we were leaving and they could just leave the remote in the room. When we got down there, the lady told us the guy went up there but we weren't there, which wasn't true, but gave us the remote. When we arrived back at the hotel after the concert, there was literally nowhere to park. We had to park out by the main road between 3 different hotels and walk about 5 min. When my wife went down for breakfast the next morning, they were very rude in explaining that the breakfast was extra and couldn't give her a price on what it cost since it was "buffet style" (I think they meant Ala carte). When we went to go check out later, we brought up the extra room charge and was told that one was just a hold and would be released after a few days. Well, 4 days later and the charge processed to my account today and the hotel staff are basically saying oh well. The location is ok, the rooms are ok as well, but the staff and parking are the worst. I would book anywhere else...

I'm angry enough to offer only 1 star, but it wouldn't be fair, because the hotel and the staff with whom I deal were are pretty decent. I registered online a couple of weeks in advance and provide, in the comments section, that I'd be paying with a government check and providing a tax-exemption certificate, something that I've done dozens of times at hotels across the state over the last few years with no problem. Not until an hour before I checked in, once I was two hours from my office (after work hours) did they bother to inform me that this hotel does not accept checks, so I'd have to charge my personal credit card — without deducting the taxes. No big deal; the clerk told me that that GM would fix it. Well, this was Friday morning, and now it's Tuesday. I never heard from the hotel to inform of this, but found on my c.c. balance that they had not honored the exemption. Finally, the GM admitted that they were at fault for not notifying me in advance of the problem, but she refused to make any adjustment, lamented, "There are a lot of bogus checks out there", and decline to eat the taxes that my office is exempt from paying — which I had to pay out of pocket, because my local-government employer won't reimburse me for costs that I'm not supposed to incur.

As I noted, the staff and accommodations aren't bad (although the bar prices are annoyingly hotel-esque for lodgings stuck in a suburban hellscape, and not in a downtown location with a lot of cool amenities), but hotel management sucks, and I'd certainly advise against staying here if you have any kind of unconventional...
