IHOP — Restaurant in Fishers

I literally just walked out of this IHOP. If I could give zero stars I would. From the moment I walked in to the restaurant the service was less than I would expect from an IHOP. Nobody was at the front. I did notice young kids sitting down to the left through the glass windows and they also noticed me. It took about a minute but eventually one of the young kids that was sitting down came to assist me and give me a booth. Once I sat down I was literally sitting for 14 minutes with no service. I kept looking around because nobody seemed to be working except the kitchen staff that was having a grand time while working as they should. I noticed a waitress with blue messy hair and a very messy appearance look at me several times during those 14 minutes and we made eye contact and she never came over until after 14 minutes. I figured she wasn’t my waitress so I just kept looking around. When she finally came over she asked if I was ready to order. She didn’t ask what I wanted to drink, and what I really wanted since the moment I walked in was coffee because I was so cold. I simply stated that I wasn’t ready to order but that I would like some coffee and my son wanted Dr Pepper. She took the order begrudgingly and then proceeded to take 5 more minutes to bring it…. But at the same time brought the bills out for two other tables. Almost spilling the coffee and drink she FIRST went to the other tables to give them their bills, dropping one of them and cussing because she dropped it. I don’t understand why she didn’t drop the drinks off first and then drop the bills. It was as if she was doing it on purpose and I was well aware of this. I had no creamer so I asked her for some and she seemed bothered that I asked. I stated I wasn’t ready to order and she seemed bothered again that I wasn’t ready. She came back around 10 minutes later after refilling peoples coffee and she asked me if I was ready to order and I said Yes and I asked her if she could top off my coffee and she didn’t answer. So I asked again and she raised her voice at me and said “I KNOW!! BUT WHAT DO YOU WANT TO ORDER!” She refused to warm up my coffee…. Not sure why if the coffee pot was in her hands. At this point, I asked for another waitress and she walked away and said “WHATEVER I WASNT GOING TO TALK ANYWAY” or something Snarky like that. I also want to point out that her actions were very deliberate as with everyone else she was being very friendly… loudly… so I could hear and understand that what she was doing to me was on purpose. She proceeded to go into the kitchen and talk about me and tell the other waitress that I wanted another waitress. That waitress came out, looked at me and went back inside. I got up and walked out. I didn’t notice a manager during the whole time I was there. IHOP…. Super disappointed at the level of service. I had been here before but here or anywhere else… I had never received this level of disrespectful service. That girl needs to NOT be working there. So extremely disappointed that this type of behavior/ appearance is allowed while working at IHOP. This is enough to make me never return to this IHOP. Signed…… Extremely...

Our party was 2 people around 10:30pm. Worst experience ever! I've had other better times at this location but this experience negates those! Took 30 mins to get drinks, food was nasty and over done, and we never even got the waitress we were supposed to! I had to go up to front desk to request everything! Asked manager to give me a reason to stay, eat, and pay for this meal, he said he had none. So we left! Terrible service if you can even call it service. The number of bad times at this location negates the good ones! Follow up call I made to corporate was an even worse experience!

After we were seated it took 30 mins before we were able to order drinks (I had to go to the front desk and request drinks because the waitress never even came over). I then told the gentleman who got our drinks, since it took so long, we were ready to order. He apologized, took our order, and said he would "put it right in" and "it will be out momentarily!" We waited for another 15-20 Mins with no refills on our drinks, so I went up to the front yet again and requested refills. He brought me a refill and 1 extra refill for either of us. Finally, after more time I went up to the desk yet again to ask where our food was. The gentleman brought it out and it was extremely poor quality! The T-bone steak was dried out, hard as a rock; I tried to pick a piece off in front of the waiter and it actually flipped up in the air and hit my friend in the face! What he brought out didn't even include parts of her order. My hashbrowns were hard like splinters. I asked the waiter for the manager and he told me he was manager. I asked him to "give me a reason I should stay, eat, and pay for this meal?" He said, "I don't have any reasons..." So I told him we were leaving.

Later I called corporate to let them know our experience. I received the same kind of experience. The person on the phone took my info, documented my account of the situation (he didn't even sound like he wanted to hear the full story), and said someone would contact me in 4 days. I received no apology or commitment to making it right. I asked him the same question I asked the manager at the location, "Give me a reason to come back?" He said, "I can't make that decision for you." And that was it. End of conversation.

Worst restaurant and customer service...

The food was great, and the service was wonderful! We always visit this location at weird times of the night and everyone is very friendly.

Edit as of June 3rd 2017: I am VERY annoyed with our visit to IHOP. First off, we entered and were greeted by a hostess who seemed very bored and uninterested. Then, our waitress, Arianna, showed up, said a barely audible hello, plopped menus on our table and disappeared. She came back a few minutes later to get our drinks ordered, and then disappeared again. We couldn't find her for twenty minutes, and neither could the other server, Vanna. She had gone outside, "chatted" with a huge group of shady looking girls, and came back inside rubbing at her veins. We're pretty sure she was shooting heroin in the parking lot. She then rudely delivered our drinks, took our orders, and disappeared again. It was an hour before we got our food, it was cold because she had left it sit for a fairly long time, we were watching, most of it was wrong, and we called over the manager. He also, rudely took back our incorrect and cold food, told us how the plates had "burned his hand because it was so hot". The food was freezing. We ended up getting the attention of Vanna, who took care of us and was so kind. Our original waitress ended up getting ahold of the fresh food, put chocolate chips on with bare hands, in our line of sight, and still brought it out. She was yelling at the chefs, with cursing, loud enough for the entire place to hear. We're furious. This is one of our favorite places, and it has been ruined. We've NEVER had any problems. We've been coming for two years now. If Ariana or this manager is ever here again we will...
