I give this place a 3.5 stars overall for 1st impression. The place has a nice modern look. It's a bit pricey and needs to work on their costumer service and cleanliness.
When we got to the counter there were 2 employees one was taking an order from the people infront of us and the other was just standing there did not greet us right away and seemed very distracted. Once we got his attention I started to order and he immediately stopped me in a very rude way that he wasn't the one taking orders, that it was the other person at the register that would take our order. He stated he was only sampling out the Gelato. Ok so then we asked him for samples of specific Gelato but once again was distracted with from what I saw was his friends. By this time my husband had asked him if he was ok and he said ("yeah yeah") then he handed my husband the wrong sample and I told him 3 times that we wanted mango but proceeded to grab mandarin and call it mango. Then once he was actually paying attention he took the sample back from my husbands hand and comepared the Gelato to see if he had grabbed the wrong one. Then he realized he did grab the wrong one and then apologized. I never got my sample of mango by the way. But at this point I was already irritated with this young man and left it at that. Then when we were ready to order he told the girl at the register that he would take our order and for her to go do something else. We tried to place our order with him but once again distracted with his friends. We repeated our order 3 times with simple instructions. The place has some menu items that are numbered wich I'm guessing for ease to place an order. But he was just to distracted. We should've just left or asked someone else to help us. But it is what it is and I really wanted to try this place out. Finally when we placed the order he asked if we were dinning in or take out and we said dine in. He proceeded to give us a number for our order that you put at your table so they can bring your food. But the number card was dirty with what seemed like chocolate. He didn't clean it I cleaned it at the table and the table we sat at had dirty chairs. My dessert came and the delivery and presentation of it was good and so was the taste. The manager did come by and asked how was everything. But because we were with friends I did not want to tell him in that moment what happened.
What I recommend to this place is better costumer service. Have an adult employee near by to teach and keep an eye on these teenagers because if this is the costumer service you are going to have well you can imagine the outcome. I see great potential to this place it just needs some improvements in costumer service and cleanliness. You do that and this place will have a great outcome. I do hope to come back and have a...
Read moreSo disappointed. Second time trying this place and this time gotta leave a review. It was busy and waited in line like 10 min, no problem thats fine. Im very patient. Order, and sit at the table. We waited 30 minutes no order.
Notice that people who got there after us were getting their food. We ask a server twice if he could check on our order, he looked at our table number pretending he was going to do anything. Nothing.
My husband gets up asks where our order is, some guy goes to the back to check, never comes out. We wait another 5 minutes. I get up and ask where our order is, they are all clueless. I told them we’ve waited 35 minutes on the table and they are all clueless of where our order is. I tell them everybody has been getting their food but us. He asks me if I want it to go, I said no!
We’ve been at a table waiting, then he says your order will be prepared next. It wasn’t even PREPARED! I asked for my money back. Experiences like these is how you lose clients and gain bad word of mouth.
Word of advice * have a tracking screen that shows which orders are being prepared and served, will help avoid this type of mess and avoid a bunch of employees being confused about one’s order. Or like my first experience, have someone checking that people are getting their order! As easy as that....
Read moreAfter passing this place by over the course of a month or so, we finally decided to step in to see what it was about. The decor is very “lounge”-like, but it’s comfortable. The place is clean, they seem very organized, and overall the environment is inviting. The ordering can be a little tricky since they have a menu to view but they encourage the QR Code to view the menu on your phone. So if you’re not tech-savvy or forget your phone, that’s something to be aware of.
The variety of options is decent - not too little, not too overwhelming. I picked the pistachio waffle with the scoop of pistachio gelato on top, and my friend picked one apple cinnamon crepe and then small scoop of vanilla gelato. The prices are a bit high but the portions are generous, I think. We spent almost $50 - one waffle, one crepe, one small scoop. When they brought it to our table, we were a bit overwhelmed with the amount of chocolate! It’s delicious but it is a bit too much. There isn’t an option to have less chocolate so if you’re diabetic, you’ll have a hard time enjoying the meal without worrying about your blood sugar. 😭 We both scooped more than half the chocolate from out/off our stuff.
Overall, the experience was great. The food was tasty! Just perhaps the option to have a light chocolate topping or even chocolate...
