My husband and I have been coming here for years and we always feel so welcome. Today, we went for breakfast with our 9 month old and 12 year old. The 9 month old ended up spitting up at the table and then we ended up spilling drinks when letting our 12 year old out of the booth to the restroom. Needless to say I was flustered and felt terrible for making such a mess. I am the type of person that hates drawing attention to myself so when our waitress came over with more napkins I apologized with tears in my eyes. She gave me the biggest hug and told me not to worry that we’ve all been mothers of babies and it was not a problem at all. Then another one of the waitresses came over to help and give me a hug too. They stopped what they were doing to make ME feel better about our huge mess. They reassured me that everything was fine and that they were glad we were there. I have never felt so much love from strangers in my life. Not to mention the amount of love and support given from a large table of church ladies who were meeting for breakfast beside us. Struggling with close female relationships in my own life currently, this was a moment where I felt extremely loved, safe, and welcome by so many kind women. The staff at Sunrise are more than that to us. They are family. At a time when many businesses are struggling to stay a float due to short staff following the pandemic, I encourage you to stop in to Sunrise if you’ve never been. You won’t be disappointed with the food and you’ll feel right at home the moment...
Read moreI WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN! Came in on a Saturday morning to eat with my son. We were seated immediately, but weren’t greeted for about 10 min. We watched other people get seated and get drinks immediately. Our server finally came to take our order and had a nonchalant irritated attitude. She didn’t get our drinks, and our food came out the same time our drinks did. Our drinks were coffee, water, and orange juice. She brought my son hasbrowns instead of tator tots like we ordered, then got an attitude when I told her it was incorrect.
I asked to speak with a manager twice and one never came. The server and others were just looking at us. Not sure if it’s because we were black, but we were extremely uncomfortable. We packed up our food and finished in our car. Horrible experience overall and the owner should be ashamed of their management and employees for providing this...
Read moreThe food was great and our server was great but the hostess were super rude and condescending. We got there wanting to give a new breakfast spot a chance but our first interaction was already a bad one. We put our name down and we’re told it was a 10 minute, that’s fine for a Sunday morning but then two groups came in right after us and got seated immediately and the hostess seemed to glare at us While letting these two groups go. Our server Shawn was great, super kind guy kept us stocked up on coffee and was very nice. The food was good and the portions were great only had to wait about 8 minutes for food so you can’t really complain about that. I would like to rate it higher but the first interaction ruined my perception of the place. I would not come again nor recommend it to anyone I know, the hostesses alone ruined any urge in my mind...
