If you’re craving authentic, homemade Eastern European comfort food, this tiny spot is an absolute must-visit. With just three cozy tables, it feels like stepping into someone’s home—probably because Grandma is in the kitchen crafting some of the most delicious perogi we’ve ever had. The borscht was perfectly balanced—rich, earthy, and full of flavor. The handmade perogi were pillowy and delicious, clearly made with love. And the desserts? Incredible. We tried the Napoleon, raspberry bars, and the traditional multi-layer honey cake—each one so good that we had to take another to go. Beyond the food, our waiter was an absolute delight, offering warm and attentive service that made the experience even better. While the seating is limited, they offer to-go options and even sell perogi in bulk, so you can stock up on these homemade delights. Final Verdict: A hidden gem serving up soul-warming, homemade food with a side of hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!

At Ellis Bruce Paul, we had the distinct pleasure of working with Chef Andre at Pierogi Shop Cafe in Flagler Beach, creating new marketing images that capture the essence of his brand. This charming little cafe, set just steps from the ocean, feels like a delightful culinary hideaway. Chef Andre welcomed us with the "Pierogi Sampler," a beautiful array of flavors crafted entirely by hand, from scratch, with the utmost care and authenticity. The Potato & Cheddar was smooth and comforting, while the Sauerkraut & Cabbage brought an irresistible tang, balanced perfectly by the rich and earthy Potato & Mushroom. Each pierogi was light, expertly crafted, and deeply satisfying. They even make their own homemade "Pork Kielbasa." Chef Andre’s talent and the warmth of Pierogi Shop Cafe make it a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic Ukrainian comfort food, made from scratch, with a touch of magic by the beach.

My husband and I travelled from Jacksonville after finding this place through Google. I grew up in the Catskills Mountains of New York and my husband is from the Buffalo area. There was a little Ukrainian Orthodox Church next to where I worked in Buffalo. During Lent the church women would make homemade pierogis. I remember putting in my order and excitedly picking them up for dinner to be served with polish sausage for dinner. The food at this adorable place brought back fond memories of those pierogis. The borscht was delicious also. We brought back quite of bit of the grab and go items to have for dinner during these cooler days this month. The owner/chef and his staff were so nice and welcoming too. It’s well worth taking a nice little day trip from Jacksonville to Flagler Beach to enjoy some authentic “comfort food”.

If you're looking for comforting Eastern European food made with care and heart, this restaurant delivers in every way.

The pierogies are homemade and absolutely delicious—soft, flavorful, and clearly made from scratch. Whether filled with potato, cheese, onions or something more traditional, they hit the spot.

The chicken schnitzel was unique—it’s made from ground chicken rather than a cutlet, which gave it a tender, almost melt-in-your-mouth texture. Lightly breaded and perfectly seasoned, it was a surprising highlight.

The homemade kielbasa is another standout. Juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked just right—it’s clear this isn’t your average store-bought sausage.

And don’t miss the amazing borscht soup! Rich, earthy, and full of deep, layered flavors—it’s the kind of bowl that warms you up from the inside out. You can tell it’s been simmered with love and tradition.

Beyond the food, the service is truly exceptional. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and genuinely care that you enjoy your meal. It’s the kind of place where you feel taken care of from the moment you walk in.

Highly recommend for anyone who loves traditional food served with pride and warmth. This place feels...
