I love Whaam Burger, particularly their UFO, which is a wrap with a double bacon cheeseburger with all the usual fixings and Whaam sauce, sealed up and grilled with cheese on the outside. Their Tachos are delicious also, like a big mac exploded on top of tator tots with some jalapeños mixed in. They offer a daily special, have a make-your-own salad bar, offer beer, milkshakes, juice, lemonade, water, and Pepsi brand soft drinks. The restaurant itself is really cool; it's fun, bright, cheerful, has pop art reminiscent of Roy Lichtenstein splashed acrossed the walls, and the music is a great playlist of the 80s and 90s. I got a gift certificate for Christmas and they graciously popped in a coupon for a free small fries along with it. There are some old arcade machines in the back of the restaurant and it's opposite the beach and also across the street from a great ice cream shop here in Flagler, if you still have any room afterwards. I like to bring all my guests who are visiting me here in town to Whaam, bc there's never any disappointment, and they come away just as a big a fan as I am. I've never had an issue with the service here either, they're courteous, expedient, and will take trouble with your order if you tell them you have a particular food allergy. (If you have Celiac Disease or are super gluten-intolerant, I'm not sure I would recommend Whaam, simply bc I can't be 100% certain on cross-contamination with the fryers, grills, or the salad bar, but if that's your life everywhere you go, you're used to looking out for that kind of thing. You could ask, I never have, and my mother has pretty bad Celiac Disease so I'm used to checking out restaurants and figuring out where she can and can't eat. We haven't tried at Whaam yet, however, I'm uncertain if they'd be worth the risk if you get really sick from gluten. Just something to keep in mind. If you're simply following a gluten-free diet and gluten doesn't make you sick, you should do great here. My best friend has really bad lactose intolerance and he was fine after eating here. They also ask you to let them know so they can make accommodations for your order, so that's just a note for anyone with food allergies or intolerances.) They also provide a supply of crayons and paper hats at the register (or try to, sometimes they've run out but I'm sure if you request it they'll find them for you), so the kiddos (or big kids like myself) can sit and decorate our own 50s style diner hat while you wait for your order. I've always loved that about Whaam. Overall, I think this little burger place is far superior to any fast food joint, worth the price point, and definitely worth the visit if you're visiting Flagler, or you live here and haven't made...
Read moreFun little counter order burger joint with limited seating and a few arcade style pinball machines/games to entertain kids while you wait. Counter ordering is quick and the food takes a few to be prepared on a short order grill. We ate here two days in a row due to the great burgers on our first visit. Our 2nd visit was still good, but the menu items were selected were not our favorite; we shouldn’t have changed it up.
What to get (or not)
Whaam Burger - 5🌟 ordered this on day 1- a great American burger topped with a thousand island like but spicier sauce. You can add whatever toppings you’d like - or pick was onions, jalapeños, lettuce and pepper jack cheese and the “whaam” sauce.
Onion rings & Fries - 5 🌟ordered this but visits!!! These onion rings are homemade and delightful! The tiny shoestring fries are a great crispy/sakty treat as well
West Indies Wrap - 5 🌟(ordered this both visits) A shrimp/mango salsa wrap loaded with flavor 🥳
Chili Dog - a sweet chili on a high quality hot dog - not my personal taste for chili but can term the ingredients are high quality!
UFO - we ordered the burger and chicken strip UFOs on day 2 and didn’t quite enjoy the presentation. The burger patty and ingredients are great - it’s just in the UFO form it’s a lot messier and the tortilla gets wet/goopy. We ordered these standard with whatever the menu offers and having a whole tomato slice and bring stuffed with so much toppings wasn’t quite appealing. This was our mistake and just a personal preference; next time we will be less adventurous 😅
Chicken Strips - 5 🌟 These are great homemade strips and our child enjoyed...
Read moreWham Burger is hands down one of the best burger joints I've ever visited—and I've had my fair share. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a fun, laid-back beach vibe and friendly staff like the manager patty and co workers Carson and bliss who’m all clearly take pride in what they do. The burgers? Absolute perfection. Juicy, flavorful patties cooked just right, stacked with fresh toppings and creative twists that make every bite unforgettable. The Wham Sauce is next-level addictive, and the buns are always toasted to golden excellence.
I also have to shout out the sides—crispy fries, mouthwatering tater tots , and even some unexpected options that rival the main course like the wham fries. Everything feels homemade and thoughtfully prepared.
Whether you're a local or just passing through Flagler Beach, Wham Burger is the kind of place that makes you wish you lived nearby. Five stars...
