I recently visited with my sister, and unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing. From the start, the self-pay machine was glitchy and kept pausing, which should have been the first red flag. Despite the issues, we placed our order for two Thai iced teas but somehow received one Thai iced tea and one Thai coffee instead.
I politely approached the woman I assumed was the owner and explained the situation, asking if she could correct the drink since their faulty machine caused the error. She curtly replied, “We don’t do that here.” Confused, I asked about the price difference between the Thai iced tea and the Thai coffee, thinking that might be the issue, but she told me they were priced the same. If the drinks cost the same, why not simply replace it? It felt as though they were trying to save on product costs at the expense of customer satisfaction. I declined the incorrect drink and left it with her.
My sister, understandably upset since she paid, went back in to request a refund, only to be told, “We don’t do that here.” My sister told the woman that the machine wasn’t working properly (AGAIN) and proceeded to give my sister a tutorial about the machine. Instead of resolving the issue, she kept pointing out to my sister that I must have placed the wrong order. Even if that were true, why accuse or blame the customer for what was clearly a simple mistake? A professional business would have focused on making things right and pleasing the customer rather than doubling down and creating unnecessary conflict. Also there was no signage indicating a no refund policy, which is misleading and unprofessional. And if there is a sign make it bigger and put it in the front window and the front of the register. Hopefully, after this feedback, they address that issue.
Upon looking at other reviews, I noticed this is a pattern with this establishment. The owner has responded to other customers’ concerns in a condescending and unprofessional manner, calling people “Karens” and even replying to a simple bathroom inquiry with, “You’re not that special, buddy.” This behavior is completely unacceptable and shows a lack of respect for customers.
This isn’t the first time they’ve messed up our order, but I always let it go. After this experience, I will not return and will be warning others to avoid this place. Customer service matters, and this establishment clearly doesn’t prioritize it. Zero out of zero...
Read moreA nice little store we tried out. My family and I were in the area and just perusing for a place to eat. We were on our way back to Chandler from seeing the Grand Canyon, so thirst and hunger were wearing us down. Figured we’d be able to find a unique place to eat in Flagstaff. My wife and son are the ones who chose this spot. I can’t really fault them, all the little quirks and colorful lights, not to mention the myriad of toys and snacks. It’s quite eye catching for those young at heart. Ordering and paying is a simple task, you utilize the kiosk, which more or less works as it should. Some foods or drinks you can see pictures for, and others are just simply titles. There is another printed menu at the cashier area, but walking back and forth to figure what’s what, is a bit awkward.
The staff is nice as can be, my only gripe is part of my order was forgotten. The lady who took our order didn’t have her glasses on for some reason, and didn’t know one of our orders existed. As this could’ve been an off day, I wrote it off as just a mistake, but it did still happen. Now I get it, businesses in flagstaff can be expensive, but the quality of the drink vs the price is questionable. About the same can be said for the ramen we bought. It’s good, just not 15$ good. The soup only had a heavy taste of sesame oil, there was almost no note of soy sauce or mirin that you’d typically taste in a bowl of ramen. Any one who’s a fan of ramen, should know exactly what the soup base tastes like.
Ultimately, this store will be a different experience for some. If you have kids they might enjoy all the lights and decor. As for the food and drinks, it’s a...
Read moreI really wish they would include a sign saying No-Refunds. While it’s understandable, I ordered a drink that I didn’t like and asked if I could trade it out with a drink of the same price (I paid 10 dollars for just this one drink , including tip) and was told “No” with no other words or explanation. At least add a sign saying this policy as it’s very unusual and I don’t think i’ve ever been to a cafe where this has not been an option.
I ordered the Honey-Bee which was advertised as including a piece of honey comb (the sole reason why I got the drink), and my drink did not have any honey comb at all. Very disappointing.
Staff were not very friendly and would give one-tone, short answers. Looking through their responses to some negative reviews here on google, where they call people “Karens” and end dismissive responses with “lol”, it’s just very rude and not welcoming.
They had a free macaroon advertisement poster on the front door (when you post on instagram @-ing their business) and the staff seemed unfamiliar with this policy when I showed them my phone and had to call in a manager. I understand if staff is new or training, but I would assume that it’s something that all staff should know about when trained.
It is a very gorgeous store and has nice seating and free water and tables which I thought was nice. I just feel like the staff weren’t trained well and the lack of refunds and vibe...
