Long review incoming. First off, the food was okay. I was expecting quite a bit given the reviews, and it didn't live up to any of that. Granted, nobody in my party got sushi, but everything we got was average at best, and given how saturated the market is in Flagstaff for this type of food, there's no reason for that. But the food wasn't the biggest issue I had, it was the service.

I ordered the Tempura dinner, which comes with shrimp. I asked the waiter if I could sub out the shrimp for chicken (something I thought was a reasonable request), and he outright refused. No "let me ask the kitchen" or anything, just "that's not how that works." I ended up subbing the shrimp for extra veggies, but the extra veggies did not come out with my dinner, it came out after I was finished eating everything. The soup that came with the dinner also came out after I was mostly done eating, and our appetizer came out after our meals. The waiter was unable to describe the appetizer, and just basically lead in with "yeah, I don't really know how to describe it, you should just get it." Doesn't inspire confidence. Speaking of the waiter (there was one for the whole restaurant), he was very difficult to understand, and talked very quietly. He also told us outright that he was sick, which terrifies me to no end. He would also disappear for long periods of time, and when he brought me a glass for my beer (after I had already drank half of it out of the bottle, which I was perfectly happy to do), it was very dirty, and had a lip mark on it. I don't know if the glass was just poorly washed, or wasn't washed at all, but it was disgusting and should have never made it out of the kitchen, and definitely shouldn't have made it to a table.

Onto the food. Despite half of my dinner coming after I had finished eating, the Tempura was good. I'm not a huge fan of the tempura sauce they use, but overall it was okay. There are certainly better places in town to get tempura (and they'll serve it with chicken). The second member of the party ordered the Chicken Katsu, which was pretty bland, but edible. There are definitely better places in town to get Chicken Katsu. The third member of my party ordered Pork Udon, and was served Pork Ramen. It was okay, but there are better places in town to get ramen, and places in town that will get your order right and not serve ramen when you order udon. All of the food was kind of expensive for what we ended up getting.

Overall, the only reason I'm not giving this place a 1 is because the food was edible. That being said, I don't recommend coming here. There are better places in town to get everything we got, and though the prices are slightly higher than Go Sushi, the quality of the food is reflected in that. I sincerely doubt I will be coming back here, and if service continues to be where it is with a restaurant that is this new, I sincerely doubt they'll be sticking around for long. The market in Flagstaff is flooded with fantastic Japanese food with great service, and has no room for a place with poor service and...

To start off every time we have been into Go sushi the food has been excellent and the previous two times pretty fast. However the service is very hit or miss if they’ll even come to your table to offer you a beverage (today’s wait was 15 minutes for water). When I came in this evening I had ordered a Ramen and a single sushi roll for me and another guest. The ramen came out pretty fast for how busy the restaurant was. 45 minutes later the single roll of sushi came out. Normally I would not have a problem with long waits at restaurants but this time was different. The kitchen had given my food to another table and they had spoken to the other table and said that they were sorry for the mistake and made them the correct roll immediately, but at no time were we ever told that our food was gonna be delayed another half hour, while other guests who ordered multiple entrees (arrived after us), got their food before ours. At this point the ramen was cold as we were expecting the roll of sushi to come out fairly quick. My guest had finished their meal and left me to eat mine a half hour after they had been done. Overall I was pretty disappointed in the service and wish I had said something at the restaurant alas I did not because it was closing. Only reason for the two stars was because the food as I said...

Took my family of 6 there tonight based on some good reviews I read. As soon as we walked in we commented on the strange smell. We got to our table and the floor was very sticky all around the table, which was a little strange. As soon as I opened the menu I was shocked at the prices - this was easily the most expensive sushi restaurant I've ever been to, and I travel all over the world and have been to many sushi restaurants in expensive cites. We ordered and each of our entries was brought out separately at different times, with one of my daughters meal (a dragon roll) not arriving until everyone else was finished despite me asking our waiter about it and him promising that it was almost ready. One of my daughters and I both ordered a salmon roll and tuna roll and it was very disappointing -very small and not alot of flavor. My wife ordered a crunch roll and it was very sweet tasting, she couldn't finish it. When the check arrived they had added a 22% tip. I know that it is customary to add a tip for larger parties, but 22%?? Where did that come from?? Especially since the food and service and atmosphere was not good. I didn't mention the load music playing the entire time. Sorry, but I can't recommend! There's got to be better...

An unexpected find in every sense! Who goes to Flagstaff for sushi and Thai? For that matter, who expects either to be *good* in a place so far removed from the coast? Weirdos like us, apparently.😅 We passed through town on a Saturday night, then returned the following Friday on the last day of our trip through the area, making a point to visit Go Sushi one last time. Their signature Thai dish, roast duck curry, was ordered on both occasions. We also loved the ginger chicken and one other dish which name I can't remember, pictured below. but it was all exceptional Thai -- and this is coming from people who have access to a good range of Thai options in our home counties in SoCal. We really wanted sushi as well, but there is only so much to be had in one meal! There is no question that Go Sushi will be the choice dining destination on a future trip to Flagstaff. We may even get to the sushi one day 😉 Brilliantly done!

My friend and I were visiting Flagstaff to cheer up another friend who'd had a rough week. Flagstaff doesn't usually offer much in the realm of Korean cuisine, so we went to Go Sushi in hopes of finding something promising. At first it was off-putting, because the entrance was on the side and not completely apparent when we pulled up. We were seated and served quickly on arrival, my friends ordered noodle bowls, I ordered the "Sushi Story". They got their orders first, and as someone who is a social eater, I was a bit nervous when my plate came out less than ten minutes later. However, let me tell you, I was *NOT* expecting to eat the best plate of sushi in my LIFE, once it came. Absolutely worth the small wait!! I've lived in San Diego, and the fish is incredibly fresh by the coast. Flagstaff is completely landlocked, so I don't know how they did it, but oh my god, I will definitely be coming back.

The restaurant environment is very visually aesthetic. The Ramen was absolutely delicious, as well as the sushi. A wide variety of options are available on the menu. There was only one other group when I had arrived so the wait time was perhaps less than 5 minutes. We received water within 5 minutes and overall, the food came in a timely manner and was well prepared and presented beautiful. The cost of the food and the amount you receive is reasonable. I would just be careful with the Ramen with the protein add on because I ordered the panko fried shrimp and received panko vegetables and one calamari. I cannot eat calamari so I just didn't eat that but ate the panko vegetables. Overall, the food, the visit, the service and cleanliness was very satisfying and I would definitely come back again.
