On a whim I had a few minutes to spare, and hadn't had McDonald's breakfast in a while so I decided to stop. I ordered on the app, it's kinda new and kinda fun. After I gave the employee at the speaker my code, I remembered I had a drink already, and my tea would be watered down by the time I drank it. So, as she gave me my receipt, I asked for the tea ice. As I pull up to the 2nd window, the gentleman bagging my order is complaining, by far loud enough for me to hear and understand, how inconvenient and obnoxious it is ( not his exact words, but you get the idea ) not to say such when ordering. Maybe there's a no ice option in the app, I didn't look, nor did I see one just in ordering. However, a guest forgetting to say no ice cannot be this young man's biggest problem I hope. An extra step, yes. If the tea is already made and has to be remade, it takes 30 seconds. Mind you there was no one else in line on either side of me. The tea can be drained and used next time, assuming no one has touched the cup. Perhaps an employee can drink it. If, worse case, it's thrown out, tea is one of the most food cost friendly beverages there is. There was enough profit made just on my mean to cover the cost of BOTH cups, ice and no ice. I did politely let him no I wasn't aware of the option within the app, but next time I would triple check, and also let my request known at the speaker, to avoid any future annoyance or food waste for him, or any other employees. Add to that my much anticipated McChicken biscuit left much to be desired, I was slightly disappointed in my choice this morning. Yes, the chicken should be crispy, but the biscuit should not be, and neither one should have the faint feel of plastic when bitten into. I believe the biscuits crunch came from it being opened and sitting under the heat for far too long. The highlight was my hash brown, it was fresh, hot, and crispy, exactly as it...
Read moreI'm not a complainer. I worked for a long time in food service so I get it. I really do. Once in awhile though, I need my voice to be heard. I went throught the drive thru on August 15th of this year to get lunch for myself and my kids. I ordered 2 20 piece McNuggets for the kids, and a large 2 chzburger meal for me and one large drink. My plan was to only eat the chzburgers so the kids could eat the fries and have the drinks. My order was correctly called back by the cashier, and the person handing out food. Got home. No chzburgers. All right it happens. I called and talked to a guy by the name of James. Told him about it. He apologized and told me to come back in and they would give me my burgers. Told him it would be the next day and he said fine. Came in the next day. Ordered a 10 piece McNugget for my daughter and a 2 chzburger meal for myself in the drive thru. At the cashier window I explained what happend to the cashier and she said no problem. Do you just want the extra chzburgers? That would be fine I said. So you will get all 4 in your order. Maybe you should check your bag. So I got my food from the next window. The food handler even properly said 4 chzburgers. So I drove off and parked in front of the building. I opened the bag and only 2 chzburgers. I just shook my head. I sent my daughter back inside to collect my dang chzburgers I paid for. She found a manager and explained the situation. She was told that I should come in and complain to someone else. She wasn't even on the clock yet. So my daughter walked back out to relay the message. While I respect not being on the clock to do your job, you are hanging out, at work, in uniform. Plus your a freaking manager. Care a little. I left. Won't be back. Enjoy the extra 5.17 you made off of me. If anyone asks where to eat near the airport in Arden NC, I will tell them Arbys, or Culvers, or anywhere...
Read moreIf I could rate this a zero, I would. Absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced. Was on my way through on a road trip. Got there 5 minutes before they opened and waited until 6am when they said they would unlock the door. I placed a mobile order from the parking lot. At 6:10am I checked the door and it still wasnt unlocked. Saw someone else use the other door. Apparently they just didnt unlock the door i was parked I'm front of. When I got to the counter, I heard a group of employees flipping out about my order. One of them finally turns around and notice me standing there and say "it must be her". Another employee then starts getting loud saying they don't have half of what I ordered. I asked what they were going to do then. She said "I dont know, you'll have to talk to my manager!" and walked to the back. The manager walks up and has someone assist her on figuring out how to refund the 7 items I paid for that they said they didnt have. They handed me the remaining order and I left. There was no apology for the 20 minutes that I sat there waiting, the fact they didnt try to hide their issues with my order, the fact the ignored me at the counter waiting for one of them to stop complaining long enough to find out why I was waiting there, or an offer to substitute or order other items in exchange for the 7 I didn't receive. Thankfully i have no reason to ever go to that location again, but i feel others should be warned. I have worked in customer service for 15 years and was disgusted by not just my treatment, but their lack of respect and professionalism at...
