I'm sure cookout can be amazing place. We even through the drive-thru and of course it was noon and I got to say it was very busy a lot happening.
My coworker ordered a double bacon cheeseburger and onion rings I ordered a single with everything including ketchup mayonnaise tomato no cheese and no bacon.
He did get his onion rings and I got my french fries for some reason every order is a double order of a side which I have no problem with which is kind of nice but I do not eat that many fries .
What we did get was the same burger for each takeaway box in the drive-thru a hamburger that was I would say on the rear side with mustard onions and lettuce and maybe a pickle. For both burgers it was the same fixings. Even though we ordered different burgers.
On the cups they serve their drinks in it has Proverbs 1 verse of the fear of the Lord is the beginning of understanding and wisdom well I get that. However it does have a 866 number for any complaints or suggestions. That's very nice but on the realistic side the order should at least be close to what you paid for. Regardless of how busy the establishment should be.
I would put the result of the order mishap in as my service person at the window was very astute polite and accommodating for his space that he had to work in. However while he's working in his space two other people were over his shoulder trying to do a separate task one looks like the manager and another one looked like somebody else trying to do something but either way you need to let a person in the service booth for the drive-thru handle the orders in a orderly fashion so nothing gets confused.
The burger was decent it could be cooked a little more I admit even just slightly under medium would be nice but mine was red inside with a cooked outside I don't know if their time and temperature things supersede or even coalesce with the amount of traffic that are coming through. But all in all the meat and the burger was decent and what I did get was prepared correctly however my taste did not align with what I was expecting as an order.
I give three stars because I got decent fresh food and a strawberry shake that was decent if I was to compare it to steak 'n shake it was about 75% of the quality of steak 'n shake steak and shake strawberry shakes are really awesome and I'm not really ever been disappointed. I think a little bit more syrup could have went into mine I did have a couple strawberryless spots in my shake but it was pretty...
Read moreI've been to this location a total of four times. The first experience was awful, the service, food, wait, everything was mediocre. The two times after that were great. The burgers were no Five Guys and the shakes are so thick they're basically ice cream in a cup, but definitely worth the price and made me want to go back after long work shifts. Tonight, however, was even worse than the first experience. I waited an hour in line to have a less than pleasant ordering experience, being met with them being out of what I waited an hour for and then being rushed to decide on something different (very, very loudly - uncertain if it was the speaker volume or the person yelling). The wait and order experience alone would not warrent such a low rating, but the food was incredibly underwhelming. One of the burgers we ordered was wrapped so haphazardly that it was practically in the shape of a triangle. I would have preferred to not order anything at all, but after such a long wait, it could not be justified.
Overall, they're at a 50/50 chance of being great or disappointing (similar to our Waffle House). I would recommend calling prior to waiting in the line to ensure 1) the staff is in a good mood and friendly because that does seem to greatly impact food quality and 2) they have what you're wanting and/or that the milkshake machine is not down (apparently, regardless of their sign boasting of their amount of milkshake flavors, they're on the same level as McDonald's depending on the day), however, there is absolutely NO way to contact the location directly and customer service is not available during the same hours as...
Read moreDecent food for the price. The burger tasted char grilled and had a nice steamed bun. The milkshake somehow stayed frozen forever, and it was really good. The cheese curds tasted like they had been living under a hot light for a while. By the time I got home (6-8 minutes after I got my food) the burger was soggy and the cheese curds were Luke warm and hard. The milkshake through was still frozen and pretty dang tasty. I’m not expecting a premium experience for a double order of cheese curds, shake, and double burger with cheese and onions for ~$8.50 or so, so what I got was what I paid for. If you’re hungry and don’t have a lot of money then this place is a good option, but if you’re a burger or cheese curds enthusiast then you might be a bit disappointed because this stuff has definitely been made for a while and kept under a hot light before you get it. I’d even be willing to bet the shake was pre made and kept in a freezer.
Edit: Haven’t been back in three years because of the subpar quality food. I was driving downtown today and said I wanted the hotdog so I pulled in and ordered regular hotdog what I got was definitely a regular hotdog. Not a single condiment on it. I had to walk inside. Hotdog was terrible and tasted like it was steamed over a toilet or swimming pool full of chlorine. I tossed in the trash and went across the bridge to get a hotdog for the same price at the gas station. The hotdog was three times as big and I got to put all the toppings I wanted on it. Lady at the window didn’t even say anything. She just took my car and...
